I'm 4333 Freelance Pilot right now, and have just about enough exp to go 4433. The faq says that the tier 4 trainer has you do missions as well as grind xp to get skill boxes, so when will I get missions? I.e. will I get a mission for my last two skill boxes, for my last one, or neither? Thanks in advance.

You will be given a new mission once you actually get enough XP. Then he/she/it will train you. Till then, its duty missions for joo

Thanks, so after I hit 4433 I'll get a mission that unlocks my next skill box? Not too bad. I was scared I was going to have to grind another 1-2million starship xp...

You need the XP *and* the mission completion. So yes, you will be grinding out another couple million XP.

Well, that sucks. Is it the same for the master box? Do I have to grind out 3.5 million AND do the corvette mission? I find grinding space xp to be painfully boring...

Master box requires no XP -- just some fun missions

At least there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Killing tier 4/5s nonstop... takes 125 tier 5s or 250 tier 4s to get the 1 million xp... I can only kill them so fast...

Still gonna take me several hours of work to get there. Just hope I find some decent loot along the way.

I would suggest getting 4434 so you can use level 5 astromech//flight computer. Talk to me in game if you want a hand with droid commands, which, can be confusing at the start, but will pay dividends.

I found that when I ground tier 4, I only HAD to do the first and last missions. in between, id go to the trainer, and get training, then go grind annother mil. however, this only works if you do the first t4 mission, then only go see trainer when you have enough xp.

Unfortunatly, if you have already taken duty missions, you will need to do more missions as well as grind the xp.....

So thats something to keep in mind if/when you finish your current pilot and decide to do it again with a different squad or faction......

Yah, Droid commands with a nice Rix/Kimo/Dunie setup will get you through the tough spots.

A few peeps, me too, were able to solo the whole thing. I just couldn't do the vette solo my first time

More sheer intimidation and inexperience methinks. Don't let it scare ya
