Thread: A-Wing Different Style

I was out the other night in space flying my Firespray when I noticed an NPC's A-wing had some crazy fins on the back, they curved inward instead of going vertical like usual. The a-wing is my favorite ship to fly, sothat made me extremely excited. It looks amazing, it really adds to the A-wing's appearance. Does anybody know if there's a kit that can do this to player A-wings? I know they released some for the X-wing, I figure this is very similar and could be implemented with no trouble. Just wondering if anybody knows if it's been done, or if anyone would like to see it.
I tried the Texture kit style 7, but that of course just changed the paint job.

I am a new SW, there are schematics listed on my crafting tool for 'winglets' for alot of crafts. Cant say if these are new additions to the proff tho. I've not made any so cant say for sure, but it sure sounds like something it could be

Try different engines. There are normally two "looks" for each piece of equipment, and the fins are part of the engine, so I imagine if you find an engine with the other graphic, it will be the curved fins you desire.

In that case, I recommend finding a level 6 reward engine and seeing if that gives it the look. Other loot engines are that style, but the level 6 reward engine definitely is.

I've tried all of the engines I have, it always has the same generic A-wing look... even with my level 6 reward engine (prenerf one, 92.whatever). I guess it was just an npc-only thing, because try as I might I cannot get a different look on it. I really wish I had taken a screenshot of it to show everybody, it really looked very cool with the fins pushed in.

Ive tried like 20 diffrent lvl 8 and lvl 6 engines all look the same.
Sounds cool tho, speaking of new awing stuff, anyone got a pic of the new awing texture in RotW?

Yeah, I think the one I saw was on a mercenary in kash too. I'm really hoping they'll add something to give us that fin option, because it really was cool looking.
And for Kiwi, I'll post a picture later of my A-wing with the new style 7 texture kit when I can get on.

Master shipwrights can make "Rice-It-Up" kits for the X-wing, Z-95, Rhikxyrk (sp?), Kimogila, and TIE Advanced. I riced up my kimo that I use for mining, looks sweet.

And the Hoar Chals (or whatever the name is) freelance engine also looks the same, awings only have one engine look it seems.

I think I know what you're talking about. I saw one like that during a mission on Kash, think it was during the mining missions. It said the craft was a Mercenary A-Wing in the craft type line. Looked pretty sweet. Then I blew it up. That looked good too.
Anywho, I've not seen anything about the winglets working on A-Wings, thought they were only for certain craft, like the X-Wing.

I found out how now, the reward engine from Nym´s starmap quest (lvl8)gives the awing a new look.
The wings are bent inwards, looks pretty cool allthough the orginal looks better, but hell ill use it just cause of the "hey, how do i get that look?"-factor. 
The awing also looks smaller, however if this acutally helps im not sure.

You put a 30k mass engine into an A-Wing? I take it if flies bare bones with just weps and shields then? Or did you get a nice RE?
