Thread: Varying stats on the new quest-given components
92.6 speed is a perfectly good speed for an engine.
These new fangled engines which do 100+ without overloads give pilots a disadvantage in a turning fight because the turning circle will be bigger than a slower engine with similar r,p,y. Thats unless of course your game is hit and run while loaded with missiles.
My A-wing recently went from being uncatchable by 90% of the other pilots on Bria to becoming 'average' speed now though whic I didn't like at first. Noone likes to lose their edge...but from pvp'ing all these new fangled ships while still in my humble A-wing, is brought a new kind of wierd balance to the game I think.
I'm just happy I can now fit a lvl 10 re'd engine on my newx-wing without sacrificing firepower
.
I hate to say it too..but the Heavy-95 is really growing on me. It can't hit the broad side of a barn, but...it looks cool in a retro kind of way.

The new fangled engines from the starmap quest are a totally different beast from the new SW crafted fast engines. They are perfectly able to be RE'd and can have a more than respectable PYR. If some of them are dropping at 79 (guildmate's engine) and some are dropping at 100+ that's not right.

Outside Narmle, Rori, there is a crashed escape pod, examine it and you'll start the quest for 'Nym's Star Map'.
1st part: Fort Tusken (pool)
2nd part: Kashyyyk (killing Trando slavers for bits of map)
3rd part: Dathomir, Spider Clan Cave
4th part: Mos Eisley, Tatooine (look for Han Solo in the crashed ship)
I think the 4th part info is correct..I haven't made it that far yet, as the Spider Clan Nightsisters seem to..uhh..enjoy beating on me.
I stand corrected.
Yeh that sucks if stats change between people.

I may be able to hold my own most of the time in space, but on the ground, so much a stiff breeze will knock me over
