Any content for the masters?

Been a while since I looked into this, and I've been working like a madman irl of late, so havent really been researching upper-level JtL content in-game.

I happen to love Deep Space, the spawn rates seem to be better.

In deep space with a few friends, we are all rebel aligned. Going after a large group of TIEs, protecting the Rebel Corvette from raids, being involved when 2 rebel corvetes and 6 Imperial gun boats go at it with tons of fighters too (FPS down to 15 now)

Following a wave (6 or so) b-wings on an attack run on one of the gun boats then chasing a group a-wings as they try to finish off the atacking fighters. following a TIE on an attack run on a vette and killing just as it is about to turn out of the attack run and watching the blown up bits shatter around the vette.

All this while carefully staying far enough away from that darn Star Destroyer. The sky fills with bolt from the ion cannons, blasters and other fire.

I have never felt soo a part of a GCW or felt more a part of SW as I have in deep space. It can be fun for some quick solo action too. Quick repairs and battle re-entry too. If you get a big enough group eliminate the oposing craft then try the rebel station or star destroyer

You could help new pilots by teaching them. Grant the boon of your wisdom and experience, bask in the glory that is you, Master Pilot.

How's that for content?

Unfortunately, that's little more than RP content. Need to run the missions to do JtL training, I dont think Player-to-player training works, does it?

In fact, if you pickup shipwright as your ground prof, the only thing you absolutely need another person for in JtL is the Vett run.Even then, just launch a missile at her during someone else's large scale attack, then scamper off into the asteroids while they do all the work and still get the mission success msg... not exactly interaction. Or, if you're up in the middle of the night and have no real concern for equipment decay, there's always the suicide runs- blowing 1 component per attack run, respawning and repairing at dathomir station/ground, back for more. I nearly killed the vet this way myself. 4 deaths ought to be all it takes.

But I'm not bitter.

  1. Go overt at a station.

  2. Go to kessel.

  3. Kill enemy ships.

  4. Use faction points to buy shiney tables.

  5. Enjoy!

Is PvP still valid in Kessel when overt? Or can one "overt" in Kessel with little or no fear of player repricussions?

I suspect with it being such a rarity to see opposing overts that it will come right down to the one who sees the other first will always be victor. Concentrated fire from a Master's fighter would likely decimate an unwary opponent in one pass. Thanks for the info, sounds like my time in the void will be more interesting indeed!

there are 2 main things you can do

1- enter deep space for pvp with other player aces

2- help others get ace as a mercenary like i do

If you go overt you can combat other overt players anywhere, including kessel, but the only "forced" PvP isin deep space. Sadly, I have never seen an enemy overt player in space.

Well I don't really know about all that. I'm just a new pilot 1121, and I'm not very good at JTL. I think you could RL teach me allot about the game. Not just RP teaching, but RL teaching to share your vast knowledge of how things work. Using your example, I don't even know what a Vett run is, or anything about that. Maybe teaching isn't your thing. It was just a suggestion, and I tried to be humorous as well as constructive in my post.

There is a movie quote, but I can't remember the movie title,

"What do you do when all of your life's dreams and ambitions have already come true?"

"Keep it to yourself."

It's meant to be funny, and many find it so. I think it means, bragging isn't contructive, and neither is complaining that there is nothing left to do. Teachingis the only other thing I can think of. But that's not for everyone.
