Hi.


Well, ignore the truth part of the title. Thats just there to make it look poetic.


Down to business. Just been fighting Adonis' Firespray. The first two epic battles of wits I managed to kill him (it was harder than hard btw) and then he goes and curses me. He says, (badly paraphrased btw) "You're almost impossible to obtain a missile lock on Leaph" to which I feel all fuzzy due to the compliment.


3rd round. He IRIIs me in the initial pass. Witch Craft I tell you. . I mean, the last time I was killed in an initial pass situation was back on Bria in my early pvp days vs. Rapax when I used to fly an X-wing. It's always a sobering experience to get vaped by a ship that I used to consider pvp suicide for the pilot too, so /salute once again Adonis..


That was awesome though. I feel I should post this because the guy is the scariest pilot I've ever seen 1. with a KSE (usually KSE pilots...in fact no. All KSEs I've fought have died miserably within seconds except this guy. Exceptional pilot we have here).2. I won't give it away, but the psychological mortification factor of seeing his ship flying towards you is scary..as...-hell-.


Ok thats out of my system. Before I go calm my tattered nerves, I'd like to inform people that first duel night will be held tommorow at the hour of 7pm EST.

All those who can make it please report to Tyrena Space port at 6:30pm. The system we'll be pvp'ing in will be revealed at the pre carnage briefing as I would like to keep the possibilities of any EP3/camping griefers to a minimum.


Anyone is welcome. Caution though to newer pilots since there will be some top level equipment and talent flying so to all combatants, careful who you choose to duel. I don't want any whining about equipment etc, which I know won't happen. Those who I know for definite are coming are some of the best attitude pilots I've ever had the pleasure to fly with/against so all should be cool. This will be a learning experience to all as much as a stiff competition.


As a sidenote, anyone who wants to bring a crew + POB for POB vs Starfighter style duels is welcome. I had a duel with a POB earlier and it took me a long time to neutralise with a single A-wing; longer than it takes me to kill the average JSF pilot come to think of it.


But yeh, any faction welcome, any ship (minus the RG TIE) is welcome, missile use comes down to agreement pre-duel between individual combatants, EP3 and general being a Dorkness will not be tolerated and finally, there will be an asteroid field involved.


Finally, any spectators are more than welcome, drinks are on the house if indeed there are drinks and you have a house to put them on and lets just have some fun.

Sounds like you had some great fights there Leaph! And against a KSE no less!


7pm EST? I think I can make that for an hour or so. I have to leave for a game at about 530 pst so I should be good to go until then. So..... All fear my lvl 4 engine muahaha.. yeah right.. i'm just there to have fun and meet some more pilots. See ya guys tomorrow

The Emporer does not approve of these duel nights and can be considered illegal. So all my fellow Imps should not tell him and come out for the fun.

Adonis is awesome. His Firespray has some truly ridiculous parts in it, and he can handle it like it's part of himself.


Never had a better wingman or squad member.Not counting, of course,thetime me and him were out scouring the galaxy of Rebel scum and Kitten killed us both not once, but twice.

Wow...my hands are still shaking.


Leaph asked for a bit of backup in Deep Space after he ran into four Imperial pilots in DS. Abi and I went out and joined him, and we had a couple goes before Leaph headed out to log.


Abi was heading back towards me, and I was parked at the Rebel space station...not paying much attention, watching the station's guns shoot at all the NPCs...


And then I hit the Z key by reflex and panicked.


A TIE Advanced was sitting half a klick out from my X-wing.


I hit boost and started hollering on TS for Abi to come back, since I hit Z again and saw Adonis was there in his Firespray, too.


Let me tell you something--there are few things I've ever run into in space more terrifying than the sound of those cannons. They sound like a gattling gun. Two gattling guns, actually.


While I was evading, Abi snuck up and picked off the TIE Advanced, and then we started doing passes with Adonis. Those Trandoshan? cannons are absolutely terrifying. The sound, the look, everything. It's just demoralizing.


The battle ended on the third (I believe) head-to-head, when Abi and I nailed him with a couple of simultaenous laser hits--at the same time as he landed a missile on Abi's A-wing.


*That* was fast-paced, insane PvP. My heart's slowed, but it'll be a bit more before my hands are fine.

Wished I could have dueled Kitten. Haro wanted to see that fight for sure, but mainly I was just curious. Just had a few more battles with more players this time. Just came back from some more Starsider style pvp. Most fun I've had in ages, especially when it was just me vs All . Had a few interesting results out of those ones.

Yeah, the PvP tonight was awesome. It further etches into my mind the respect I have for most of the Imperial pilots (excluding those who still come to Deep Space in ETA-2s and get smoked by a Heavy X).


Adonis, I love your Firespray. May I have sex with it, please?


Pace. You're crazy in a good way. I'm glad your on board for the events.


Guy in the Scyk. You fly like me, especially in evasion, and that's the only reason we got you without missiles. <3


Other dude. Sorry I smoked you when you were on Halyn, but I have to watch out for my wing man.
