I was mining away then I got this message " you take in an unusal astroid chunk it has been added to your inventroy. I examined it and it states that it could be used ina crafting recipe anyone have any idea what its used for?

I got a glowing chunk and it is used for new textures when decorating your ship. Don't know for certain about the colorful or misshapen chunks, but I'm guessing they're the same.

yep, used for the 'new' textures.

each one is for a different type of texture. I think 'misshapen' was for arc-170, though I could be remembering it incorrectly.

Check the stickies the shipwright forums. Theres a guide to space mining which talks about what to do with the different types of special chunks. As far as I can tell, they're only used in making special texture kits for certain ships.

I have a feeling that these are not all the ones that we will have. Just a feeling so don't count on it but i would make sence that there is more down the line.

ok i have a arc and a Colourful chunk...... how to i make the tex kit? i guess i need to find a shipwright? does s/he have to be a master to use it?
