Thread: Holy crap the aggressors are annoying.

I'm a Smuggler's Alliance pilot working on tier 4. That puts me on Dathomir doing stuff for, oddly, Nym. Subsequently, that means imperial entanglements in my duty missions. The unfortunate thing about it is, I keep being sent out against Tie Agressors. 1 I can handle, 2 can hurt, and 3 sucks monkey nuts. It's not that they're hard to kill but that damned rear turret constantly taking my shields down is a real pain in the arse. My capacitor can't recharge fast enough to keep using shield shunt 3 and missles are bloody expensive on bloodfin (about 12k for a single pack of good proton 3's). I don't want to fight agressors anymore but I still have 2 and a quarter boxes to go in tier 4. Is there a better way to go about getting the xp I need without taking these agressor infused duty missions? Is there somewhere I can get duty missions with tier 4 and 5 enemies which don't include agressors?

Thanks for any info you can give me

Can't give you advice on other missions since I'm a Rebel pilot, but I find the aggressors extremely easy, even in packs, if you make sure you take out Weapon 1 first on all of them before going for any kills.

Well, you can always go to kessel for EXP. There you can pick and kill what you want.

Aye, Kessel is the way forward..... Just keep killing rebel gunboats for 24k XP AND a useful loot drop 8 out of 10 times.

Heres another approach .... avoid tier 4 and 5 fighters for now and got to nym's hovel in lok. Tier 3 spawn like mad here and with a good level 8 gun you can take them out in about 8 seconds, plus with good level 8 shields they can fire at you all day and not hurt you. You may get more xp for killing the tier 4 and 5 guys but it takes a lot longer .... in the span of time it takes to take out 1 tier 5 in kessel you could have already taken out 5 or 6 in lok so it evens out and on good nights you come out better. This is how i grinded tier 4 and didn't take me long at all. Oh and I don't think i did a single duty mission for tier 4.

To Grind: Nyms Hovel Tier 3 Heavy Hutt Fighters. Get Entertainer Buff (works for Space XP), plus Money+Loot to Sell.Near (1-2K)the Nyms Hovel Jumppoint is a Spindle-Like white Space Station you cant target, and nearthat a constant supply of Slow Tier 3 Heavy Hutts.

For the Storyline Mission: Get a Help.... I did with 1 Other, to take out Gunboats+Agressors.

I Really like to seeonly onehuman gunner replicate Agressor Rearturret hit rate.... lol thats inhuman...

The SA tier4 destroy Duty is annoying. Most pilots are not ready to handle aggressors yet.

I always found spawn camping or zone hunting a really pain in the rear way to grind xps, yet people seem to love it.

I love Duty missions for the added benefits, so my suggestion is tell your trainer to take a hike, and go talk to the RSF tier4 trainer in Theed Palace. Short but sweet Black Sun Destroy Duty. May take you 2 of them to get each million (longer Duties give more xps obviously) but you get a fair shot at the coveted Black Sun helmet.

Before you ask, here's how it works: A pilot can get Duty work from any trainer in his profession, not just the ones in his squad. Pays to learn the locations of the other trainers and if they have a Duty with better targets/money go for it.

I used the RSF duties to grind out the last 4mil of SA.

Other than that, to kill aggressors, you need to take them head on (Jousting), or with a nice set of guns and shields so you can kill them before the turret gets you.

I completed the SA tier 4 duty twice, the end fight is 5 Agressors at once. I fly a heavy scyk.

What I do (and what has been suggested before) is to target Weapon 1 and come at him head-on. The front gun is not very strong, especially compared to that rear turret. Take a few shots head on and then booster past, dodging the turret as best you can. The Agressor flies so fast you'll be out of range in no-time. Get about 1000 away then turn and joust the Agressor again. Repeat till the gun falls of, then he's dogmeat. Once you get good at this Agressors are not hard, just time consuming.

Then when you feel you have mastered Agressors head to Kessel and blast tier 5's till you are ready for Ace. =D

QFE. If you can, go with missiles on that first pass. Even if you don't kill the gun, you can possibly damage it enough to remove it as a major threat.

I tried this last night and the trainer offered me an escort mission. I'm fairly sure it's the right one. He's in the chamber opposite the Commander and Theed Librarian.
