Thread: Wasted Mastery and No Badge (Devs please read)

I am already an Alliance Ace Pilot with the Crimson Phoenix Squadron,but I hear you getdouble xp for each squadron you get. So I resigned with the Rebels and mastered the Smuggler's Alliance Ace Pilot. However, to my chagrin I did not get the badge. Darn, I thought, but at least I'll get 1x more multiplier on my xp, right? Wrong. When I surrendered the Smuggler's Alliance squadron, I did not get the xp bonus.
I sent a ticket and I was told by a CSR that badgesthey are disabled while Respec is active and I will get the badge once respec is turned off. I have two problems with this. A) This was a pilot squadron, since we cannot/respec pilot skills we should not be affected by respec. B) I already surrended the squadron hoping I would get double xp for mastering 2 squadrons, but since the badge did not register, apparently I do not get that bonus.
If a CSR could just check my completed quests and see that I indeed finished the Privateer Smuggler Alliance Ace pilot squadron and give me the badge, this would solve everything. However, the CSR used a default respec response about badges being disabled.
Iknow that badges are disabled so people do not /respec over and over with normal professions and get all the badges. However, you cannot respec pilot skills so it cannot be exploited. Piloting masteries should not be effected!
Finally, I respec'd the first time April 27, so my period should be over. While having unlimited respec is appealing, I would rather be able to obtain badges normally (and I hope this doesn't affect my token respec).

I have this problem as well. I respeced on the first day of the CU. Two days later finished RSF Pilot. I realized I didn't get the badge. Posted, sent tickets, did what I could. Well its been a month now. I still can respec, I have no pilot badge.
I want to start a different sqaudron, but its pointless if I don't get that badge either. Still no word from anyone on this. Its been a month.. I am stuck with the ability to respec. Someone fix me!

Well I am not the only one. I am doing the RSF squadron now just because I want to see all the storylines. It's atrocious we do not get credit for our work, but I have a feeling I'll be ignored as you have been for a month, friend.

badges are disabled until respec period is over.

My respec is never ending... I respec'd April 27. I can still respec June 14. Tell me this is not a bug. And why should Pilots be affected by the mastery badge removal? I still got badges for killing the Acklay, why not for killing the Corvette?

I mastered Corsec Pilot and no badge too. My repec is still active on the ground, but I cant respec cause I only have space skill boxes done. So I have no idea what to do yet.

So at least 3 players are having JTLS issues. Maybe if enough of us speak out they will fix this problem. I sent in a bug report in game too.

Yah maybe try posting a huge whine about it on the Jedi boards. See the other posts there for instructions on how. I wish I was joking but judging from the past oh I dunno 10 publishes or so, to get anything fixed it has to be a jedi problem. SO much like jeopardy, "Please phrase your answer in the form of a jedi."
I don't hate that they get fixed don't get me wrong. I do hate that the only "fixes" my professions see are when it adversely affects a jedi and a dev comes running with the nerf bat.

Well, I was told by a CSR that he fixed my "perma-respec." So I finished my Master Pilot Corvette mission and mastered RSF. Guess what? No badge. That's 2 squadrons that were a total waste (nevermind the mediocre quest rewards). I hope CSRs can give badges because I am mighty pissed.
Pre CU:
Mastered Crimson Phoenix Sqaudron: Badge and 1x bonus xp
Post CU:
Mastered Smuggler's Alliance: Nothing
Mastered RSF Squadron: Nothing

Do you still have that "Token-Respec" from last Patch? Made Master Smugglers Alliance Yesterday, and didnt get the Badge till irespeced to nothing and therefore "used"the Token.
After that. Once i got back in Space, i got the Badge.

I was afraid of the token respec messing with badges again, but I'm pretty sure you're supposed to be able to hang on to your token and still get badges. I'll check into that.

Yep, in the same boat here. I re-mastered Rebel Pilot post-CU, but am still stuck in respec so no badge for me. On the other hand, I played my alt (whose respec ended the way it should weeks ago) a lot last night and the damn token respec box popped up 3 times everytime I launched, hypered, landed, shuttled or otherwise loaded.
Sometimes I really hate this game.

I waited till the respec period ended to complete Smuggler's alliance. Guess what? - no badge.
This is poor. My alt's main mission at the moment is to work through the different squadrons and Im certainly not going to grind out millions of xp more than I need to due to the coding gibbons getting it wrong again.
anyway - its /bugged - if I could only place a bet on getting a standard 'you need to wait till the respect is over' message back I might get something out of this fiasco.
