Just got Imp Ace last night and was excited to try out the new Imperial Oppressor Tie.
Man, whata PIG! I can't believe how slow and sluggish this thing is. The mass is nice, but I can barely keep up with moderately fast ships (maybe thats why we have so many missle launchers on it).
Does anyone use the oppressor on a regular basis?

A lot of Imperial PvPers use the Oppressor for the triple missile launcher, but usually only in PvP. It's the most effective tool against A-wings.

OH YES!
Infact, it is my favorite ship. I used to think the Krayt was the best ship, but lately ive been feelling that way about the oppressor.
The corner velocity on an oppressor is about 40% throttle. Personnaly i have hotkeyed 40, 65, and 85 percent throttle settings. At 40% throttle, you can turn REALLY fast, too fast infact, as oversteering is a common error.
In PvE, the T/O, once you get the hang of it is a fine ship. IT's also best damn vette buster in the game. Personally i keep an RE'd L10 and an LE'd L8 blaster. THe base item of said blasters has given my ship a signature sound that others ive flown with try to duplicate - kinda flattering
(Pair a Armek Elite Ion with a borestal, it sounds cool) I can 1 or 2 shot teir 3's, teir 4's take around 3 shots or so, teir 5's a bit more
In PvP is where the oppressor is.. well, arguably over the top. Nothing has the stopping power and nothing says, " I wub you!" like three MK II IR missles. The oppressor is the A wing trump card, and tips the balance of power in the Imperials favor.
If i were (and have) stripped every ship off my databad save one, id save the oppressor. It's all i need in PvP and PvE.

The Opressor ROCKS!
Doesn't turn as nice as the Agressor, but with the extra mass you get, you can really equip some nice toys on that bad boy. It's so nice being able 2 just completely R4pe Tier 5 fighters, than you move on to soloing vets w/o bomb strikes *drool*
I usually solo Vets w/ full turrets and full everything in about 2 minutes.....1.2 min (if that)if I use a bomb strike
And I don't use Missiles (though I plan to soon).

I can solo the Vette in a one-gun Advanced, and if I need the hitting power, I can load a pre-nerf Mk2 Spacebomb launcher into it. I HAVE an Oppressor deed, I've only used it once.

using engine overload 4 you'll shave off alot of that sluggishness. in my opinion the oppressor is the only imperial ship that is viable in pvp and incredibly efficient in pve. efficient being the key word.

Love my Oppie!
3 spacebomb 1 launchers, 2 big fattie cert 8 guns, and a nice cert 9 engine makes the difference. Generally I fly the Intercepter, Oppie, Deci, Firespray, and every blue moon I bust out the advanced.
You can make this ship quite deadly with the right components, launchers, and droid programs without too much trouble.

I still use it. I can solo the Vette in it so when a friend is going for Ace I dust it off and knock out the 5 gun and the shields and engines for him.

My Opp isn't equipped to perfection, but dang, she's a beast. Oppressors are the grizzly bears of the fighter world. Nothing that big, with that much power, should move that fast with that much agility. The only thing that I fear in that thing is circling gunships or a good PvP pilot.
I've also been using an Aggressor lately. Not a bad ship. Surprisingly fun.
I'm also thinking of mothballing my Interceptor, and taking out my TIE/In. I've collected enough light-mass gems that this is one evil little ship. Not World Dominating Evil, but certainly up to small moons dominating evil.

Opp is great, and definatly great if you see that A-Wing coming and can unload your tubes into it...except of course when you are an idiot like I was last night.
In DeepSpace, hit "z", target the A-Wing, get tone, pull the trigger..."This weapon is out of ammo", DOH!!!! after 30 seconds of evasive and intense spinning...I blow up
