I've heard of people making pretty good money, butI dont seem to hunting in the right spots..I enjoy flying enough so that i'd rather be grinding away in space for money rather thanrelying solely on my craftingandI would also like to be able to tell people were they can go.. creating more interest in the space game is a good thing for all of us pilots..

any ideas or tips here?

Yes there is, doing the black sun missions from the Dath Space Station can bring in a good chunk of money. Along with that you have to take into fact that your getting ship parts, and if it's something you really don't want you can sell it. I've found doing Dath I'm making around 50k or so (maybe more I'm tired so go ahead and say I'm wrong if I am.) About 25k to 35k in credits from ship kills, this depends on if you fly into a spawn of fighters not just the duty spawn. And about 25k in ship parts I really don't want, or need or would give to a friend.

Depending on your ship, parts and your own skill level it can take anywhere from 25 to 45 mins.

Naboo, Royal Way has level 1 and 2s.

Dantooine, Dantooine's Wrath has level 3s.

Are you selling the looted equipment to the schematic seller NPC at the starport? If not, you're losing a =lot= of money!

well as for my ship, its got some of the best parts in the galaxy in it (im a very good shipwright) and i'd like to think my skill level is pretty good since i solo'd all but 2 missions in my climb to ace (1 of those 2 missions included the vette) so i dont think its me, but then again i dont sell alot of looted parts to the chassis dealer since i re everything for the firespray schematic frags.

but thanks for the info, i'll pass it on to any of my customers asking me

I've found Dantooine Space is a good place to fly if you're just after money. There are a lot of teir three ships flying around there, and by the time you finish killing them all the first ones start to respawn. Since tier threes are in my experience just as likely to drop level 7-9 parts as a tier five, you can take out the easier kill ships faster than the harder tier fives and make money quicker that way. Also doing the tier four Black Sun Transport mission from the freelance trainer in the MO gives you constant waves of Black Sun for loot, the added chance of a Helmet you can sell for a hefty sum, and a nice 21,000 credit payoff every time the transport jumps out.

For a freelancer I have found that the Yavin 4 missions pay the best per waypoint waves. Working through the missions from the space station is pretty fun and was a challenge when I was doing it to grind at teir 2. The waves have a large number of teir 2 ships, which is like swatting flies for a master pilot and brings in much cash and component loot.

If you are looking to grind faction and make cash at the same time the Lok station missions are great for Rebels. Make sure you are overt before taking the mission and then swat away at the ties. There are higher level spawns elsewhere, but this is an easy way to have them come to you.

There are good destroy missions from the level 4 trainers that give out better loot because of higher level NPC ships.

If you are REing high level, odd numbered loot for firespray disks, you are throwing away a fortune. Those 9 level nine capacitors are worthless before and after being RE'd. The difference is that you have 81k credits in your hand pre RE, and only 9k credits post RE (and one chance at getting a FS disk)

I sell any level 5,7,and 9 loot, excluding blasters, tto the chassis dealer as soon as i land. Everthing else I keep for closer examiniation / RE.

If you want better chances at getting FS disks, empty your inventory, find one of those fast teir 1 spawns and grind for an hour. You'll have a backpack full of low level loot, which gets you many more chances at disks, but it also could net you some nice low level capacitors and reactors. Your customers with Interceptors and Awings would be interested in those.

Just jump to the Red Sin Chimera hyperpoint in the Endor system and scroll your targets until you hit Deathwatch. They should be in range (4 klicks or so) of your jump-in point.

I found a nice tidy little spot where there is a continual rapid spawn of 3 level 3 NPCs that emerge from hyperspace at a specific waypoint, travel in a straight line one behind the other then back into hyperspace at a second wp.

I sit just short of the exit point and blast away as they come head-on with all 3 guns from my krayt.

I can fill inventory in about 30 minutes of that.

The short answer is yes you can make good money in space. Just from the credit chips you can make enough to 'live" on tho some pilots keep thiers as a badge of honor
