I fly without armor am i nuts or do some of you fly with no armor. I just want some opinions lol.

I'll vote nuts 
But then again... I'm in a Y-wing right now... armor kinda important for flying hippos

I have very rarely flown a ship without armor only in my y-wing with nice shields. And only then it was temporary becasue of mass issues. As soon as I reworked my configuration to free up mass the armor went back on. You should always try to use armor if possible even if its low tier armor. Any armor is better than no armor.

It really depends on the amount of mass you have available. Right now, I'm trying to mastera squadron using only a TIE Fighter. When you're restricted to only 20k mass, that 1 or 2k that the armor takes up is pretty costly.
If you're in any other ship however, I would definitely suggest getting any type of armor into your ship. If those blaster bolts make it even slightly past your shields, they're going straight to your components. You want to try to avoid that at all costs

I've flown without armor before, but I try to at least use paper armor. (Lvl 1) Even really thin stuff can save on wear and tear.

I'm with you mate. Armor takes up too much mass and can't be 'recharged' on the fly. Two armor plates with half the protection and twice the mass of a shield? Useless I say! Drop it!
Actually, I do have armor. I throw in the lightest looted junk I have on me if I don't need the mass for anything else. It's nice to have a small buffer just in case. But if you're through my shields, I'm screwed no matter what.

Many TIE and A-wing pilots condsider armour a luxury. If we do put armour on our ships, it only because we have left over mass that we couldn't use for something else. So as mentioned above, if you see armour, it's low level junk. (I have my shipwright custom make armour to squeeze out as much mass as possible)
Personally, I have always found my survivability better with a small, nimble hard to hit ship rather than alarge slowmoving target. Of course, the downside is that you can be disabled in a single shot if you're not careful

My B-Wing has some level 2 armor on it, then I have a level 10 shield. I put armor on just because if my shield runs out, then I have another two or three hits to make my escape before my armor is gone too.

I primarily fly an assault/dog-fighting oriented X-Wing, so I usually have a fair amount of armor on it (2x 1200 plates), since I'll loose shields periodically. With my A-Wing I've got some rather bare-bones armor, but it's enough to keep my internals from getting fried the second my shield drops.

Im anewb Imp Pilot 2/2/1/1. I put on as much armor as I can get.
Is there a benifit from having less armor or *flinch* none? Does it make your ship faster, move manuverable, etc..?

It doesn't change the actual stats of the ship, however, it doesadd to the mass used in the ship. You will find that as you climb the ladder, better parts take far more mass than the lower level parts. When this starts to happen, you'll want every kilo of mass you can get.
Until you reach that point though, my suggestion would be, if you need it, use it!
