Thread: Y-8 Quest fixed yet?

So is it still fubar'd on the 'escort the Y-8's' quest?
Have been waiting a while to complete this quest and would like to.
Will probably end up using my Rihkzyyrk to mine with but won't know until I can take this puppy around the block a couple times and kick the tires.
Man I hope the arc 170 quest series isn't bugged. It's next on my list. O.o

It would be nice for a formal acknowledgement from the Devs that they are aware of the issue, and they are working on fixing this quest. I don't even care if they have found the bug yet, any type of word would be cool. But there has been nothing but silence on this one...
Even if they are fixing the ship first, an official word from them would prevent us from jumping to our own conclusions and assumptions, and provide us some reassurance that we weren’t being ignored. And a timeframe by which we could expect this to be fixed would be nice…Will it be a hotfix? Part of one of the next couple of major publishes? It isn’t on test center, so I’m thinking proally not. So I’m thinking at least another month before it gets addressed. Who knows for sure, except the Devs?
I originally started this quest within 24 hours of the RotW launch, and since I wasn’t certified to fly the Y-8, I figured I’d just wait till I got Master Pilot to finish it off. Was pretty disappointed after getting Master Pilot to find out I’d have to wait indefinitely for the opportunity. Especially since this is one of the quest rewards which was widely advertised, and judging by the screenies, it looks so darn cool.
Oh well, too bad so sad.

Is there any chance that we could get a comment or some input from someone as to whether they plan of fixing the ship before fixing the quest?
Or maybe some sort of acknowledgement about the issue with this quest?

PLEASE DEAR GOD FIX THE Y-8 MISSION QUESTS!!!!!!!!!! I have noticed something about them that could help with this, though. The fact that the Y-8 Escort mission in the datapad has no details when you pull up its details screen might be intentional.None of the othermissions in the Y-8 Questfilled details screen. I have also noticed that in the Quest Journal the Y-8 Escort quest says "Travel to the Kashyyk System", but, once you do "travel to the Kashyyk System", the quest Journal STILL says "Travel to the Kashyyk System". This may be why the waypoint doesn't come up in the mission: the mission doesn't evenstart when you've entered Kashyyk Space!!! So, devs, I hope this helps, because I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE Y-8 MINING SHIP!!!!!!

The coro has indicated that the devs are aware of the problem as he has brought it to their attention.

I did notice a few things about the Y-8 quest bug:
- The fact that its mission details screen is blank was probably intentional. None of the other missions in the Y-8 quest have filled detail screens.
- In the quest journal, under the Y-8 mission you are supposed to do, it says "Travel to the Kashyyk System". However, once you do "Travel to the Kashyyk System",your Quest JournalSTILL says "Travel to the Kashyyk System".
- The mission doesn't even START when you're up in Kashyyk space.
So the problem with the Y-8: Escort mission quest isn't that the waypoint is never given to you, the problem is that when you travel to the Kashyyk system, the mission doesn't know to start.
So, devs, you could probably fix this bug by closely examining the mission and adding a startline to it.

It still doesn't work on test center so apperently no fix this upcomeing publish20. It got broke in publish 18.

And on I side note, I would also like to say thank you, devs, for making such a cool game and for fixing all of the crap you should have fixed many months ago. (lol)

Of course, just b/c they are "aware" of the problem...does not mean it is getting fixed anytime soon. I too am awaiting this fix

Just to confirm what's already been said, the devs are aware of the problem and are working on a fix. I asked for an ETA yesterday, so we'll see if anything shows up, but given that they've known about the problem for a few weeks now, I'd hope we're looking at sooner rather than later.
