I want to get a good one before they nerf it.
The RCT-Zs aren't exactly rare (I've looted two from the save wave of Tier 4 TIE Bombers doing duty missions), but it seems the really good ones are getting more and more rare all the time. Once upon a time it wasn't all that uncommon to get em in the 20k - 30k generation range, or higher. I have quite a few of em. But the last handful I've looted have had the 0 generation bug, or only been around 12k power vs 50k mass. It's a bummer, because the big ones like the one you quoted here are great for running POB ships.
Did you loot this recently, or something you've had laying around? I'd feel better knowing the really good ones are still dropping. Haven't seen a good one in months.

I know of a lvl 7 looted last week.
Wow, I find it hard to believe someone looted a level 7 reactor last week. I demand a screenshot and verification from a CSR!
Sarcasm aside, what I asked was whether the RCT-Z reactor quoted in the original post had been looted recently, as I am curious for confirmation that they still drop with numbers like that. All the RCT-Zs that I and my guild have looted over the past month have been 0 - 12k generation pieces of junk.

Let me rephrase that as you seem very ignorant. There are two reactors that fall with exceptional generation rates, the RCT-Z mentioned above which is a Reverse Engineering level 8 and thus very difficult to fit into fighter, and a Reverse Engineering level 7 (sorry, I do not recall the name). The level 7 exceptional drops are more rare then the level 8, and can be RE'd to a more effective fighter mass.

as for the kuat's they still drop with insane numbers. i've looted probably 3 or 4 in the 20k's in the last month and one 42k range. IMO they are becoming more common...

You looted a 7800 mass lvl 7 reactor? I've never heard of anything even close to that before.
