OMFG! I slipped into my Oppressor this afternoon for the first time since the patch and I can barely steer! All of a sudden B-Wings are as hard as A-Wings. This thing over-steers so hard I can barely get back to the station to land.

Please put it back the way it was.

did you change your engine? and are you trying to fly at full speed or half speed? oh, and did you change your mouse/joystick settings at all? i find if the settings are off, ever ship flies like a brick.

I see absolutely no problem with the new patch when it comes to the oppressor. Granted, it was taking me longer to down tier 5 a-wings in kessel, but that's partially due to my lack of experience with my joystick (was using an xbox controller)... I've been goin against tier 3-5 opponents with not much difficulty whatsoever. Only problems i ran into were tier 5 a-wings in kessel as stated above, but those have always been a pain to hit.

I''m actually in agreement with this sentiment.

I've had the same engine in my opp. since 3 patches ago.

They played with one aspect of the inertia, so that it seems 'realistic' under acceleration/deceleration, yet they 'played with' the physics and hull properties for behavior under 'neutral' & 'less than' conditions, and the physics engine just can't seem to figure it out. One set of rules under xx/yy*zz, another for x/y*z -- just makes no sense, not to me and not to the machine.

What we end up with is a ship that can roll completely over in .15 seconds if you time your counterbalance just right... or a ship that will go in any direction you *don't* please to go under any other conditions, unless it happens to be co-incidental.

Very annoying behavior, to see inertia (which was well done in the original JtL release, and borked further each patch thereafter, where it was applied) be hit-and-miss when you come to the throttle point where the engine decides it will disregard it (usually resulting in a yo-yo-maneuver from the pilot)....

Devs, either we HAVE inertia or we DON'T have inertia. Quit trying to balance sim and arcade and decide on one; your efforts to play the balance is frustrating all of us.

This is a huge problem. My oppressor is VERY hard to aim.

I'm betting your control settings got wiped. JtL has had trouble holding onto preferences anyway, and a problem day like yesterday nothing would surprise me.

I was flying my opressor in deep space last night. I had no problems with my control. I noticed nothing different.

What I did notice different was that the wing sizes had increased, so suddenly I found myself flying against six B-wings instead of three. I also found so many corvettes and gunships that I could barely move.

I didn't notice any change in the handling of my oppressor last night, but I did notice the Deep Space beefup noted above. I would go after a b-wing and I'd have 3 more on my tail lighting me up with missiles, and a few x-wings too, it was rough!

My B-Wing oversteers all the time...

Maybe the Oppressor was bugged before? (the NPC ones were for sure they could outmaneuver my A-wing back when they put in jousting again)

It is hard to compare sometimes from the real stats and the actual stats.

Well i took my oppressor up for a quick spin around station and waxed a few tier 1's after reading this thead to see if i noticed anything.

I didn't really notice anything. The opressor had a little slop in it before, but it wasnt anything unmanagable. After reading this thread, it sounded like we'd have our very own version of B wing handling, and i don't think thats the case. I havent flown my oppresor in a few days, but i didnt notice anything out of the ordinary.

if i use the booster on my YT and stop it in mid turn/roll, it ignore the current roll and flys straight and then will go off in it's own direction or ignore any movements from my joystick until i flip the throttle around
