Thread: Rebels! Defend your turf
I woudln't consider it greifing if it's just some bored schumuck like me soloing the vette for the umpteenth time, and only doing it because it's there.
Personally i think your tredding in dangerous waters. Your gonna piss someone off eventually. Besides, if you want to 'defend your turf', do it for real and go overt.
This isn't a Bstrike jealousy thing is it?
Honestly, outside of a few teir missions and the vette, once you make ace, you hardly ever use it as there isnt much need for it.
Now there's somethign to be said about free missles and chaff.. Even if their crappy. LOL.

Rebels actually do have to PAY for these awful missles when the repair ship comes they are billed.
being able to repair away from a station is a nice ability tho.

Anyone here consider it griefing to fly along with the Corellia Corvette and blow up the /bstrike ships? I just realized the other day I could do this, and when I have time, I plan to engage in this fun little diversion.
I thinkwe might be on a real borderline here if not possibly a step past. (And I may be out on a limb here but....)
I could see some very good agruments for this being grief. "A rebel player in kessel who is not attackable by the imperial players, by choice of either party, "camps" kessel looking for small groups of imperial players using bomber strike". Nowthe unatckable could be just the same if theyou were overt and they were notOR ifthey were overt and you chose to gocovert. These tools (BS and repair/replenish, IFF, etc) were put in the game to help both PvE and PvP styles of play, and all things considered its not a good argument to say "we don't have a BS and can do it fine" in the context of this conversation.
Now in Deep Space then all this is a moot point because you consent to full PvP upon entering. Less of an issue on other missions as they are easier to repeat but still valid, but as best as I can find that "Intentionally trying to gate another player from progress" can be considered grief, but I can't find an official post on this atm. This is less murky IMHO when you are crossing over the PvE and PvP lines and doing it durring what can be one of the tougher missions due to time, spawn, etc.
I would assume that theseare some of thereasons why we have the new TEF rules on ground and itis the reason Kessel was changed to a non-perma overt area. If you want an "official" response let me know. But I think if wesit down and mull it over for a while we might all end up thinking the same thing.

Hmm, i could be mistaken but i believe Kessel to PvE was a temporary fix until they get a new master mission created. In otherwords i think it was over the uproar about having to enter a PvP sector to master -w hich im quite sure the loadkilling contributed greatly to.
of course at this point, kessel to PvE is more like a "temporarly permanent fix". With the Combat Upgrade being top priority, i dont see a new master mission created/kessel restored to PvP for quite some time.
