I'm 3333 right now using my trusty Kimo (I was not pleased with the Ixiyen). I'm doing the tier 4 duty missions right now and having a somewhat difficult time with them. Any particular mission that's lighter than the rest? Should I go back to the Dunelizard for better manuverability? Any tips/flames/help is appreciated ^_^

Head over to the tier 4 RSF trainer in the Theed palace. You'll be doing tier 4 black sun missions that are a helluva lot easier then the smuggler's alliance tier 4 missions.

Can I do that without dropping out of the Smuggler's Alliance?

Awesome! I have nothing against those CorSec/RSF pilots trying to shoot down Nym's ships anyway. Thanks for the tip.

Hey, I may try that too. I'm 3/3/3/3 and bored. I wanted to kill some Black Sunners. Didn't know I could go to the RSF for duty missions. Thanks!!
Now to find that Black Sun helmet...

I did all of the smuggler alliance missions with a crappy Kimo. My very last tier 4 mission however, I bought a rikxyrk, the mission where you have to shoot down the imp ace and take out the corsec gunboat or whatever. That one took me a few times.
Basically I guess you just have to have the right components, mainly a good shield and stuff the best stuff you can on your kimo and know how to fly it.
But I didnt know you could do RSF missions.. interesting... you could do that too then I guess.

If it isn't shredding your hull or parts too badly, I'd personally suggest trying to work through those tier four aggressors. Yes, they're harsh, but at the same time its likely something you'll want to learn how to do at some point, and doing them in nice little stages during the mission makes it a near perfect playground for taking them down.
Personally I prefer the Duney or the Ixi (Or the Krayt once you master... but thats a different story). Get a really good shield in there (See if you can get the level eight reward (24xx front and back) re'd for the lowest possible mass you can, if you haven't already) and good guns and engine (High PYR is better than high speed). Smallest possible reactor to run your toys, smallest booster you can get thats okayish (acceleration is a nice feature) and the smallest cap you can find with good recharge that doesn't drain as you fire.
Juke and dodge. Don't be astationary target. As soon as you get one of the aggresors in your sights cycle its components till you come to its weapons. Fire away, still being a moving target. Don't necessarily drop right in behind them like you would a standard Tie or Interceptor... yes you get more solid shot, but so do they.
When your front shield is battered down to about half peel off and do a cap to shield (I greatly prefer #4)keep dodging while your Droid, Shield and Capacitor recover (I'm assuming you use a droid or FC, if not, well you should definitely be looking into it). Take a potshot now and then at any larger clouds of ships to break them up (four Aggressors all close together can do a lot of damage to you pretty quick... one stubborn aggressor and three taking evasive maneuvers do a lot less) then once your mostly back to strength pick another Aggressor and start the process over.
Boost if you get into trouble. IFF if you get into more. Hyper within system (You can do this with a single key if you set up a macro with that command in it) if you get into even more. Hyper to Cor or some other soft system if you would otherwise be toast.
But thats just me. I'm very glad I did these missions as I generally shrug when I see an aggressor nearby. Made my second climb to ace quite a bit easier too just knowing how to deal with them. Whatever is fun for you though.

Some dam fine advice there wraith. its always good to see ppl taking the time to help other less exprienced players
After trying several freelance ships, I went back to the good DuneLizard! It really is a fine ship. It has really good speed and manoeuverablity. yes, the Mass isnt Superb, but its not bad either and if you shop around for the right components or take your RE loot to your friendly Shipwright, you can have top of the range components at very little mass. Some components can range as From 5k mass right up to 30k mass for the same Stats!! So shop around. and dont immediately sell all your loot to the chassis dealer
By the way i got Smugglers Alliance Ace Pilot last night

Once you have the 1 million XP for the first tier 4 box, go 4333 and take the Rihxyrk. It handles the same as the kimo and all three guns are close inboard for maximum firepower. You get to train the first tier4 box without doing a mission as long as you have the XP.

Went and did a bit of shopping last night (galaxywide vendor search is great) and got a bunch of new parts. I think my engine is PYRT 68/68/68/73 and my sheilds are 1800/1800. With a bit of handiwork I can fit all my parts onto my Kimogila with enough room left for my DI. I just learned how to use my droid last night, yay for me! So long story short I'm not getting served anymore. I just have a hard time keeping up with TIE Advanced and Kirihax fighters. They turn so sharp but at least they can't hit me

Mmmmm.. Aggresors... taste like chicken!!!
Personally, to grind out the 4 million I just bit the bullet and went to Kessel. Those tier 5's give good exp and as Smugglers Alliance you can shoot down TIE's or Reb's.
Aggressors are easy once you know how to take em, come in from below or to the side, target weapon 1 and let loose. Once that turret is gone no problemo's. Just take him out like any other ship at that point.
Duty missions from the RSF trainer are good too because you can make a lot of money. For speed (ie grinding) I hit Kessel, for Making Money, it's all about Duty missions.

Sounds like a not too shabby setup. I strangely am not a fan of the Kimo despite my intense love for the Krayt but I know plenty of pilots who enjoy it. Personally if I absolutely MUST strap myself into a heavy fighter and don't have access to the wonder that is the Krayt... I go with the Rikky. She ain't that pretty (to me anyway) but she does have good mass and a nice weapon spread.
The key to either the Kimo or the Rik is to not try to keep up with the faster ships. Drop your throttle to arround 60 to 80% (I prefer 80 or so but I adjust my throttle near constantly) get them best as you can on the way OUT. In other words take a few shots as they come in at you but the instant you know where they are going to turn (Or if you know a bit about the AI you can usually make them turn where you want) start turning in such a way that you'll be in position to fire into their lights of their thrusters as they speed away. A-wings can take some patience... honestly until I got cocky (or whatever the Zabrak girl's version of overconfidence is. I'd say horny but... well no. Lets just say I didn't say that.) I'd take out everyone else before getting to the A's. And truthfully the other ships on there are nerfs for the most part. The Firesprays and Bombers are easy pickings... you can often take those guys out before the A's and um... some kind of tie... can't remember... whatever they are can get turned around to make another pass.
Just don't let a crowd onto your tail cause you're pounding away at the guy in your sights. Particularly if the guy in your sights is in an Awing. Also... disabling is your friend. Particularly when in a heavy fighter dealing with faster more agile craft than yourself. A couple solid hits to the engine and that A-wing's spritelyness just dissapears.
And much congrats Chut! Grab ye a Krayt as fast as ye can!
I'm currently doing Reb and switching soon to the Imp squads so it will be a while before I can get back into my beloved Krayt or even my Duney. Oh how I miss being a SA pilot!!
