Thread: Leaph's Tinted Windows

Since we sort of hijacked another thread with this, I figured to make a new one so we could collect more info.


Most players seem to have transparent windows on their POBs now.
"My God! It's full of stars!"


But there are a few who still have tinted windows. I tried to do some checking last night.


Nova & Y8 - Windows fixed. ToOW enabled.

YT-1300 - Windows fixed. ToOW not enabled, but playing on the same client.


Leaph's Nova -Notfixed.ToOW not enabled, but playing on a ToOW client (Leaph, can you fill in the blanks here?)


So, help us gather data.

Can you see stars?

Which POB chassis?

Do you have ToOW?

More than one account?

Are both enabled? Just one? Neither?


Is there any coffee left?

Since the fix, has anyone still unable to see out of a POB tried redeeding the ship?

Erm. Hm.


Not sure what to say really. I'm not blaming SOE here but I do find it odd that the ToOW account has clear windows, but my main doesn't.


I'll look again tommorow (as I just logged for the night) but I do have a theory. Maybe it'll work if I redeed the ship etc. Otherwise /shrug. I fly third person anyway, I'm just thinking about my passengers.

Y-8 is still bugged tried redeeding and that did do any good

the pilot/owner of my y-8 on a toow enabled acct could see fine out his windows(ship was in deed form until patch 24). i took a non toow alt acct up in the same ship, at the same time, and he couldnt see out the windows, until i sat him in the ops chair, but in the pilot chair, he still couldnt see out the windows, while the main toon could see out just fine


the windows were opaque white/grey on that computer instead of black. pre toow, the main toon couldnt see out the windows of the same ship. but post, he can. yes, this is strange

As a non-ToOW passenger, I couldn't see out the windows of a Y-8 either, but could see fine from the ops chair, or in 3rd person in the pilot chair.

Well....my POB windows may be black, but I am starting to see things more clearly...and I AM blaming SOE...


Although this may not be intentional, the facts suggest that SOE has the correct code for the working windows (as evidenced by the working ToOW POB windows). THIS


SHOULD NOT BE A TOUGH FIX!!! Instead, they ruin the shuttleports!?!?!? Well...I guess if I can't launch my Nova, I don't know whether or not it's still bugged. If anyone is in the


area though, could you stop by SOE and help them get their heads unstuck...they seem to have them in a very unpleasent spot....

I was moving all my ships from Talus to Dantooine. I launched in my Nova Courier and couldn't see out my windows! They were grey, so I figured it was just a bug so I sat up and still couldn't see out the windows.
