Ok, I tried 3 times now to solo the rebel vette. I called my bombers they killed guns, left shields at 40%, than I move in and f&ck I can't even damage the damn thing. I shoot shoot shoot and nothing happens. Is there some kind of trick for killing its shields ? Its my second mastery, when I got my first master my group took out the shields while I was repairing on Corelia, so I am kind of confused with the situation . Any ideas ?
BTW I am going to do another run for Rebel vette today evening if any chilastrians want to join, PST.

solo is a peice of cake, missles. 2 class 3 protons take out the sheilds, use iff run wait go back 2 more takeout secondary sheilds, iff run, wait go in 2 more take out engines, iff run , wait let everything else fly away, go in and kill it.

In order to hit the Shields you need to approach from the Front(ish)
I had Posted this before on another link... it might be of use.
These Links might help out...

Targets on the Vette and how to hit them
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=pilot&message.id=31642&highlight=corvette+corvette#M31642
and Atreus supplied the following link of where the Targets are on the Vettethat you have to aim for

Also, it might help to use the Corvette of YOUR faction for tartgeting Practice... make the run so you have target lock and can see the component

I always kill everything when I solo it. I am Neutral so I do not have the benifit of B strike (BS
)
I kill the fighters then the gunboat trailing the vette. the second boat moves in behind when the first dies and then I kill it.
get right up behind the vette and kill the shields with missles, shoot the engines, missle the reactor and then the bridge.
if I don't have missles/bombs then I take out the guns in a couple passes and shoot everything but that takes just a bit longer.

Could you tell us how your ship is loaded out? And what tactics do you use on the gunboats? Don't they all attack you when you fire on any of them?

Use standard gunboat tactics, with one modification. Stay squarely behind the vette's engines so you are in its blind spot, since you will be in range of its weapons.
Oh, standard tactics... follow directly behind the gunboat, staying between 530 and 560m guns blazing. Once its rear shields and armour are down, target its engine and disable it. Destroy it at your leisure, then repeat for the 2nd gunboat which will helpfully slide into place directly behind the vette when it can.

Another good tip....
Leave the Gunships that follow the vette alone, if you don't shoot them they won't shoot back (just for the gunships accompanying the Vette), Just take out the fighters that are escorting the Vette, then Kill the Shields then the Engine, the gunships will go away on its programmed course while the Vette stops dead in its tracks.
Please kill the gunships when your done, if you can.
Otherwise the 2 Gunships go to the despawn point and just sit there. This prevents the next Vette from spawning until the 2 gunboats have been taken out.
Thanx,
Dym Mok..

For all targets on the Vette you need to approach it from the target's exposed side...unless you use missles then the missle will fly around to hit the target even if not facing it.
