If this dosnt suck, I dont know what does. Gave up Ace so I could master my 3rd one, and I am at -150K space exp. How is it possible to re-grind that out? The CSRs told me that thats what I have to do in their incoherent message... I swear... I have to spend weeks grinding out 150K at T0 because of a bug they caused?!!? BS

150k? That's pretty lucky. I wasn't so lucky when that bug bit me. -524k.
It's doable. There's a nice static spawn about 2k from one of the Corellia Hyperspace points (never remember which) that is all Tier 1/2's, tons of them. Think it took me about 8 hours of grinding there to get all that negative worked off, so it shouldn't take more then 2-3 to grind that off.
But, yes, it is a very nasty bug. Sad to see it still is around, but I've become very wary of them fixing stuff, to the point of when I last resigned, I had to sit there for 45 minutes while my buff wore off, just in case.

That sucks, Dack =/
I myself did not have this problem, but I have a pair of decent solutions for you:
Obviously, get an inspiration buff, heh.
If you must do it yourself, go to Lok system, Nym's Hovel hyperpoint. Not far away, there is an hourglass-looking station, with a trio of tier 3 Kimo's, and not far from that is a trio of tier 3 Z95's...I was able to fill my tier 2 exp boxes in about 7 minutes each...that's about half an hour for 240k exp. Unless you are in a heavy starter (not a whole lot of advantage at Novice only, but still), you may very well die a lot, but it would be worth it, I'm sure. If you know someone who can take you up in a POB to this location, so much the better.
Alternatively, you can go to the Chiss Poacher POI in Kashyyyk space. Lots of tier 4's, and unless you are Imp, they are not aggro. While this can be done solo as a Novice, you'd be better off in someone's POB, or in a turret on a Y-wing/Krayt/ARC, etc.
That exp debt will go by rather quickly using either method.
And you might get some decent loot out of the deal as well.

Make sure in your CSR ticket that you make clear this was a bug and was fixed a month or so ago, before which CSR's had been given instructions to reset pilots to 0 xp. (they may be new and not know the old rules)
The bug resurfaced with the new inspiration buffs but there is no indication CSR rule should have changed and pilots should still be reset to 0 xp when they hit this bug.

For those that care, the bug actually *was* fixed a while back. The resurfacing that has happened is a result of the changes in Inspiration Buffs - they have been almost entirely re-coded. That doesn't absolve SOE of the responsibility for the bug, nor the CSRs for correctly the effects of the bug, just want to make people know that the bug was not left in-game for this long. It's a great example of code changes in one place affecting game mechanics in another. There's only so much regression testing that can be done with software of this size.
Anyway, run CSR tickets accurately and politely explaining what you did and what happened until you get one that has a clue and corrects the negative.

Well, how sociopathic of him.
My advice is just to keep submitting tickets, I'll go make a post about CSRs handling this in the c-forum right now.
thx for the help Tomo, I sent another 1 today, since I realized I would have to be in someone's turret for hours to regrind this, but still, it is their fault, not mine. I basically told them that it is impossible to re-grind this back, and that it is their fault, so it is their duty to help me back to 0 (said it a bit more diplomatically though

As of lately, there has been no CSR help whatsoever, just excuses why they can't help you etc.

I sort of wonder ... if you go negative when you drop it, then pick up another squadron and drop it again under an inspiration buff, do you go positive?

CSRs should definitely reset your negative xp back to 0. They did with the original bug, and if they won't now, I'm gonna be mad, because who knows when it'll be fixed. But as has been mentioned, explain your negative xp is the result of a known bug and is impossible under any intentional game mechanics, and they should give you a hand with it.
I've already brought the return of this bug up with the devs, but I'll keep on it.
