whats ur reactors stats? i looted one and its pretty good. all shipwrights and what not have tried to buy it off me, but i wont sell it. It is a lvl 8, has 24k mass and 32k regen........not to shabby from the other stuff out there

Yup, thats the RCT-Z line of level 8 reactors. Nice find


Theres also a level seven out there that does it too: Slayn & Vorpil MK3


Highest seen,by me butnot owned though , is 54k Pre-RE.

I have one like that and I'm trying to get enough loot to RE it but level 8 reactors seem to be pretty rare.

Great googly moogly, I gotta gets me one'a dose. The highest I've consistently seen around level 7 and 8 are around 16-18k. I'll have to start doing a more diligent search of the vendors on my server for one of them.

ive got a level 7 with 34k generation rate. I'm waiting to get one with low mass to RE it.

The best reactor I've RE'd so far is in my Krayt. 13330 mass, 23246 generation. Powerful enough that I can run level 3 overloads on my capacitor, engine and weapons without needing to overload the reactor at all. Keep in mind that the Krayt has 4 guns and a missile plus the usual parts.


The smallest effective reactor I've got is used in my Vaksai. 1395 mass, 12395 generation... of which I use only 10188. This is the same ship that has the 28-ton RE-8 gun and the 30-ton RE-8 shields with 2555 points per side anda 15.46 recharge rate... and the Fusialtrhust 2 engine. It all runs on that teeny little level 2 RE reactor...


To be honest, I don't fly the Krayt much because the Vaksai's loadout is better.

I've been using various REd reactors as light as I can find with power output over 13k in my krayt. I run reactor overload 4 and have yet to runlow on power unlessthe reactor takes damage. They wear out faster running overloads but I have a supply and keep making more in my quest for firespray discs.


I found a more modest level 8 RE reactor I've been using in my POB ships. 23k mass, 24k power. So far I haven't seen a need to overload it at all.


For a while I was finding lots and lots of level 8 loot reactors with horrible stats, I used the best in my pile (best 8 out of about 14) and came up with a mediocre 28k mass/15k power. I thought they must have buggy stat profiles in the loot system until I started finding better.


Anyway, I haven't seen reactors as something toworry aboutmuch in my fighters so far as overloads have taken care of my needs nicely. My krayt has level 8 RE shields, lvl 6 RE capacitor, 2 crafted Mk V guns, 1 crafted mk IV gun, a RE level 5 gun (to save mass), and usually a MK II bomb launcher.


Has anyone found a reactor that won't power all their stuff when overloaded? I'm just curious. I haven't seen numbers anywhere, but I kind of assumed that overload 1,2,3,and 4 add 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% of the reactor's base power respectively?


And yeah Clowd, hang on to that 32k one, it should be great in a YT or Nova or Y8.

Oops 15/30/60/90% respectively. It got me wondering so I looked it up.


Anyway, 13k base energy running reactor overload 4 is what I've been doing. Capacitor, engines, and weapons overload 3. I guess I could run it out of power using more level 4 overloads.

I use my re'd level 2 has around 14.5k output and around 1.5k mass

My most prised part Level 7 13999 mas 51+k output...the Vortex mark 3 lol only seen one and i have that one ..hoping to get it RE'd to lower mass after i beat it to death ..lol
