Thread: Decimator and Overload 4 Programs
it does affect the ordinances somehow. i just noticed this yesterday.
how can you tell? get slight damage to an ordiance slot. don't repair it. next run a weapon overload command, you'll notice your ordinance damage message comes up on screen.
afaik it doesn't do anything to the dmg of the ordinance heh. maybe it doesn't really affect the drain either.
I am just curious, but could you list your stats for your components when it comes to energy gen/use. Reactor Gen, Weapon Reactor Energy Use (individually), and Engine Energy Use. Sounds like you are already doing what I am going to try and do.

Ok, gonna rundown my set up. These are all POB Elite Components, except the Engine and the Booster. The Droid Interface is a 10.0 speed Level 10 Loot.
Reactor: 23566 Energy Generation
Engine: 2423.5 Energy Use
Shield: 3705.8 Energy Use
Capacitor: 1420.1 Energy Use
Booster: 714.7 Energy Use
Droid Interface: 496.2 Energy Use
Weapons: Null Bolt Blasters - 2887.1/2865.6 Mark II Spacebomb Launchers 1435.3/1435.3/1435.3
Countermeasures: IFF Confuser Launcher: 1120.2 Energy Use
Reactor Overload 4, Engine Overload 4, Capacitor Overcharge 3, Weapon Overload 4, in that sequence, works perfectly.

In addition to all that, I suggest you hang out around Tier 4 spawns for a few weeks trying to loot one of the super L7 and/or L8 reactors(24k-50k generation rates)
Got me a 22k, 33k and 43k currently.
Need to loot me a 55k one like my bud once did. :/
We can clear this up quick:
- Weapon Overload DOES affect Ordinance.
- Weapon Overload DOES damage the launchers and always HAS.
- Weapon Overload DOES increase Ordinance damage output.
I appreciate you listing your stats. When I run through the calculation based on the pilot FAQ, your ship running your overload commands would require 124,821 reactor energy, but your reactor with overload 4 would only be able to generate 44775. So it should shut down something. Does anyone know if the factors in the FAQ are wrong?
Reactor Overload 4 - 90% power increase
Weapon Overload 4 - 1000% power consumption increase
Engine Overload 4 - 1000% power consumption increase
I was successful at running Reactor Overload 4, Weapon Overload 3, Cap Overload 4, and Engine Overload 4. This was presumably because Weapon Overload 3 reduces energy consumption rather than increasing it, thus allowing my Engine Overload 4 to run (just to recap Engine Overload 4 would not run even with Reactor Overload 4 running). To the others, thanks for the info on the high gen reactors. I will keep an eye out for one.
