my favorite ship is the TIE Interceptor.

I use my int in most of our pvp events. I really enjoy the canonical ships, and the way they look. I think the tie int is a neat looking ship, and i enjoy the light, fast paced handling. I can manage with the low mass; just have to sacrifice in a few areas. I have been very succesful in my int against numerous styles of ships.

Im interested to hear others' input

I have recently ditched my beloved B-22 for a Heavy Z-95, and so far I like it a LOT (including the side-strakes). Haven't tried it in PvP yet though..

And I am absolutely in love with my Nova Courier and can't wait for Pub 24...

Do I think it's the fairest thing to fly? No. But it is my favorite ship to fly, both in PVP, where it almost feels dirty (unless I'm up against other Eta-2s or B-22s) but is still like a living extension of my brainstem, and in PVE, where it actually feels like a decently-balanced ship--sacrifice half the mass for quicker reaction time and a smaller profile.

My sentiments exactly. I earned my damn wings the HARD way - I view the JSF as a gift the game gave ME.

As I've said many times before, unfortunately everyone else is allowed to get one too - hence my desire to kit out the ULTIMATE JSF to truly get people's blood boiling...especially certain Eclipsian pilots.

All I need now is a 43.7+ pre-RE L4 cap (Phoenix will have a 140x.x pool L4 - I'm not pairing it with ANYTHING less than a 45.0) and I'm locked down...EVENTUALLY I want to get a 20xx-21xx+ Protecto for a lighter-weight config...but that hasn't been panning out well.

Also, every single config on the ship (there might be more than three, I'll need to look), will be WO3-fix ready. The HSI-EP variant will be EO4+WO3-fix-ready.

The only thing holding me up from reclaiming the throne I never lost on my server is the neglect of the Devs to tell us when to expect P24 and a measly L4 cap.

The Advanced X-Wing is a guilty pleasure for me. Its overmass for its capabilities, but its still not overdominant in PvP because of its size and relative lack of speed with the strike foils open. In PvE, its a nigh perfect lawnmower.

I used to be an all-out Interceptor fan, though. They're just vicious looking, and knowing I could knock out A-Wings with it gave me a certain cockiness that may have helped overcome its mass-related disadvantages. It's certainly my favorite of the JTL ships.

Should've expected that from you. I've actually quit flying the Actis--it's deeded in my storage house. I've been logging all my flight hours for the past couple weeks in a standard X-wing and still picking up kills fairly steadily. I realized that, after a while, the Actis was dulling the precision and finesse my flying had prior to RotW, so I went back to the X-wing to relearn some of it. I'm probably still not as good as I was pre-RotW, but I'm getting better. Plus, it's loads of fun to kill Actis pilots who think they're goodin a standard X-wing.

I understand everyone liking their nimble and powerful fighters, but I really enjoy flying my YT-1300 though I'm going to give it up for the YT-2400 as soon as I can. Part of that may be that it's the only canon ship a Privateer can fly, andI really enjoy being able to get up and walk around my ship.

My only real issue with it is the dish, I was always under the impression that the dish was a modification Han made, would there be any way to make it a modification, like the winglets or side strakes on other ships? Just curious...

Vaksai. I like that I can set it up for ludicrous speed and zip around space like I'm in a hot-rod. Or I can set it up for high pyr and slide around decent. I think its the best looking ship in the game too. Some don't like the look, but I love the look of a Vaksai. To me it looks like a futuristic jet fighter. As a bonus, the Black Sun ship goes with my Black Sun Ace helmet.

I have to agree with tomo and kayl on this one. I can't stand big ships unless i'm mining or something. After trying the bel, i couldn't go back to the ixiyen i was using. I got a vaksai that i haven't even tried out yet because i got my eta. It has almost enough firepower for my tastes (just need to get my borstel re'd so i can get a better secondary weapon than i have). The heavy syck is awesome, but eta is just more fun for me. The extra 5 mass on the syck feels useless to me since i can't add an extra gun. With the extra gun on my eta, i still have about 3-4k mass left over which is actually pretty rare for me. I usually fill my ships up to the very max.

TIE Interceptor for PvP and some PvE

TIE Advanced for hardcore PvE

Before I set up my advanced I got back in my JSF after exclusively flying my interceptor,to do a little loot grinding. Maybe it was just my engine but the JSF just wasn't good enough any more. Sure the 90k mass wass kinda nice but it just didn't feel right. I know that it is probably that I just got used to the Interceptor but I don't plan on flyingthe JSFanytime soon. Plus you can't beat the look of an Interceptor... unless you paint it red. (can't wait for the hit box to get fixed)

Ludicrous speed? "They went to plaid..."

Oh yes, I find myself liking the balance of firepower and maneuverability in the X-Wing.

Well, I like my Imperial Royal Guard Interceptor but I've put it in mothballs until we get word from the Devs on whether it's bugged or for some strange reason the hitbox was intentional and if and when we can expect a fix for it. (I know, the answer is never. ) But recently I started playing around with a TIE Advanced and I've really been liking it. Now I just need to collect some parts and wait for Publish 24 to RE it into a beat.

My new set up on my heavy X-wing has my Bell22 in the closet. 78.2-84.8-82.4 YPR 98 speed and3 Borstel's. Running EO4 I think its better then a Bell22 with a bit more firepower

Other then that I would say:

Imperial:
Interceptor then opressor

Neutral:
Krayt then heavy Scyk

Rebel:
A-wing then X-wing (both pre- and heavy)
