Thread: Why are people such ********?

I was in kessel helping 3 friends with the 30 TIE mission and the vette spawned, we finished up the 30 ties, and I disabled the vette and took out ll the guns and the gunboats while they went to get the ACE mission...all good.


In the 5 minutes they were gone, another bloody pilot came, and decided he wanted to take out the vette before they could get any damage on the subcomponents. *sigh*


He wasn't after just enough dmg to get some XP tho, he took out the reactor and bridge, from 100% each.


i hate people.

Because the bulk of people who got JTL for free feel as if the expansion's just another badge and want everything handed to them regardless of the physical/emotional cost to those around them?

Sheesh, that sounds familiar about another facet of this game...

I've said it before, and I'll keep saying it - the worst thing SOE ever did for space was make JTL free with ROTW. Back when you had to pay for it there was at least the SPARK of initiative to actually "learn the ropes." Now people are treating it like a newbie quest, and we're all "the [unpaid] help."

That's why I usually let the guns live in such situations. Noob comes blazin' in for the reactor and gets himself ripped to shreds.


Doesn't help if the person can fly and is a *******, but haven't run into many of those yet.


Hmm, brings back memories. I was clearing the ISD of its guns once. Noob managed to get himself killed while going for the shields with only 10 guns left on the thing.

Most of the timewith methey'll blow it up and be like "Oh it was an accident. I didn't know it'd blow up if I destroyed all the sub components"

This is evn though I send a macro tell as they coem into range saying "Warning, people need to score damage on this Corvette. If you need it too, please wait and group up with us"


But yeh, people can be morons and it is especially annoying if I've been nice and waited around for the Corvette to spawn for someone too and then it's stolen away. I know it's harsh but at times when they've stolen the vette and they've had a bad attitude too, they'll accept the duel challenge I send them without an accompanying tell. I tend to let griefers regardless of faction floating, dead in space just disabled. Its amazing how little new Rebel pilots don't realise that they have /vrepair and frankly it serves them right if they don't know their profession well enough. As I often say, I'm not a griefer myself, but if someone seems to go out of their way to piss other people off, I'll make them suffer if they give me the opportunity.

I had already taken out the fighter escort and gunboats....*sigh* /flail @ *******

I've only had that problem once, and it was a second group that showed up that caused the problem. I invited them to help with the next vette, and they at least sounded like they we're gonna help out. Other factors came into play (Like needing sleep because I work the next day), and we ended up nailing the vette days later with a different group anyway.


Next time bring someone with a YT, Nova or Decimator along. Take the engines out, and park on top of the bridge. It worked to keep an NPC from killing it while we waited. Not sure if it'll stop bombs, but it definatly stops gunfire.

this kind of stuffseems to only have become an issue sience the release of the total experience. Before when people actualy bought jtl space tended to be fairly civlilized. shure their were a few morons who did crap like that but they were few and far between. Now it seems that whenever im helping someone with a vett run some **edit** comes by and tries to get the kill while we are working on the escorts. I miss the days when space was where you met decent people, not A******s.

If I'm grinding faction in kessel, I hit the vette's gun #5, shields and engine ONLY, then boost away so anyone who needs it for their Ace can get it done. If in DS well... duh...


The people who bug me... We had a friday night pilot event going. Some good friendly PvP. Plenty of pilots on each side and it was going to be a good time. Some jerk decided to use EPulse after it had been stated NOT to use EPulse. Well, needless to say all the Imps said forget this after the second time he used it. If there is anything that can be called an "I Win" button in JTL/PvP right now it is clearly that skill.


Now I'm not calling for a nerf, because I hate Nerf's. But this guy needs to be smacked a good one. Here we finally have some folks getting the pilot community on Ahazi energized and this jerk has to go and ruin the event not once but twice. No class.

lol, some people just don't think or care about others. When I got my mission with a bunch of people, I was busy fending off the escort while the others were pounding on the vette. I barely made it in there to damage a subcomponent before they laid it to waste w/o waiting to make sure everyone touched it. I would have been pretty mad too if I missed that.
