Thread: Ready to give up on CorSec missions....
I just have finished last nigth that mission (second TIER3 Corsec mission) with my dunelizard and a friend.
Just have to disable the civilian trasnport and dock on it. Then destroy some waves of black sun pirates.
Then go to pick the weapons from one ship and then here comes the hard part of the mission.
I just ignore the waves of the 3 black sun until i have delivered the weapons to the Corsec interceptor, while my friend destoyed all of them, then I joined him and destroyed all the waves that came for us.
There is about 5 waves of 3 Black sun (tier 3 and 4) but if you bring some friends you won't have problems to deal with this mission.
Hope that helps, just be patient, there is an end in all those waves =)
Good Luck

corsec is one of the easiest pilot squadrons in the game.
make sure you are running the appropriate droidprograms.
(level 3 overloads across the board when grinding)

Spoken like someone who hasn't played through the Corsec missions.
Even with the best equipment, the CorSec missions are next to impossible to beat alone. There's one corsec mission where you have to fight against 2 tier 4 gunships when you are 3 3 3 3. There's another one that has you defending a tier 3 transport against 4 Tier 4 A-wings, and then if you manage to get those taken care of, 2 other waves of 4 spawn.
My advice: Get a friend to help you do the really hard missions, especially those 2.

I aced RSF, Smuggler's alliance, CorSec and Imperial Inquisition until now and am "almost there" on Black Epsilon (3444), the two easiest of them were hands down RSF and CorSec closely followed by smuggler's alliance, and not even remotly "impossible to beat alone" (I had help on exactly one mission with the RSF career because a guildie almost insisted on helping, the Tier 4 exit mission, I completly solo'ed CorSec and smuggler's alliance).

And because it's much more fun to fly with frends than alone
Sometimes true, sometimes not. I'm not always in the mood for overkill and prefer the harder route :-).

Not for overkill, but to enjoy with my friends.

Check your info.. those 2 tier4 gunboats are in the last RSF mission, I certainly never encountered any such situation while doing corsec. As for 4 tier4 a-wings, that should be easy in any decent tier3 equipped ship.
I have aced imperial inquisition, smuggler alliance, corsec, RSF, Akron's havoc, Vortex and working my way trough crimson phoenix at the moment on eclipse. now here i have used good equipment most of the way with the exception of imperial inquisition which was my first ace.
on starsider where i play my alt i aced corsec from scratch in a dunelizard because corsec is easy compared to all other squadrons I have played (Akron's havoc squadron is quite easy too, but so is RSF with the exception of the last mission... same goes for smuggler alliance).

There is a tier-4 mission that has one gunboat, but in that one you have a small squad of CorSec NPC ships there to help you. The RSF mission is quite a bit harder.
I know you guys are frustrated. I am sure it does not help when people like us brag about doing stuff solo that you find hard. Try to make some friends with some other pilots, just having a wingman helps a lot. Don't give up, you are learning new skills. Post your equipment loadouts and the experienced pilots can give you feedback. Read the excellent posts about how to fly in the FAQ. JTL is twitch skill based and is hard at first.
