Ok I got past Beissa in Jabba's Palace. I now am taking the first delivery mission from the trainer at the Trade Outpost on Dathomir.

I am asked to deliver goods from the Lokian system to the Dantooine System.

Step 1: I dock the friendly freighter and aquire the goods.

System message tells me to "Deliver the goods To the Dantooine System"

But I get jumped by 4 Tier four Imperials....again and again and again. After 12 waves I decide to obey my system message and hyperspace to Dantooine.

BOOM Mission Failed?

Where did I go wrong?

I think you wait too long. Jump when the first wave arrives, or when you've finished them.

Are you getting jumped by the Imps in Lokian space? I get attacked by them as soon as I arrive near Dant. I tried fighting and got killed, I tried making a run to the waypoint and got killed.

Are you suggesting a quick jump within the Dant system might do the trick? (And maybe an IFF confuser to stall them while trying to get away?)

btw, be prepared for a really long mission on tier 4, can't remember which one it is and it might have been fixed, but one of them has an almost endless stream of attackers. It's one of those that turns into an escort mission, but the darn ship takes forever to hyp out. I think I stopped counting at 20 waves. It wasn't hard, the enemy ships were pretty easy to kill, but it did get kind of boring...kill four ships, wait a minute, kill four more, wait...

If you're getting attacked by waves on the way to deliver try this...

When the wave hits kill all be the last one. Leave the LAST one disabled and head to the delivery point.

Do the same every time a new wave attacks you. Leaving the last in the wave disabled will delay more spawn.

Actually, I just left them all disabled. What screwed me up was someone else was doing the mission at the same time, so I was trying to figure out which of the 2 shuttles I was supposed to dock with >.<

This mission is actually a piece of cake.

See, as you kill off the incoming, each consecutive wave comes in a little faster.... so you end up getting swamped.

So instead, ignore the first wave of hostiles and dock right away. You'll take a couple of shield hits (that won't hurt) and then off you go to the next leg, rinse and repeat.

Think like a Smuggler - duty to deliver/transport cargo, not to kill everything you see.

I soloed this mission last night, inspired by some of the advice above. It turned out to be very easy.

I left Lok right after the docking, so I never saw any attackers there. I hypered to a distant part of the Dant system. When the baddies arrived I just hypered again to a point close to the Dant space station, and went straight to the waypoint.

After the docking, you have to do the same thing again, carry something to another waypoint. I just hypered, met attackers, then hypered again back to near the station.

The last time, there were no attackers anywhere, and I could just proceed to the waypoint and unload. Mission over.

Along the way, when I fought I targeted engines and shot to disable, and at one point I used IFF to buy time for the jump. I forget the exact order all that happened, but as someone said, the key is to think like a smuggler. You aren't there to fight baddies, you're there to dock with ships and get away. In-system jumps are your friend.

It's not news, it's cheese. AI duping that shouldn't work but does. It's a copout to finish a mission like that, don't take any pride in it, if you do it.

Hey....the idea here is to think like a smuggler...a little Corelian overdrive!

In the SW universe micro-jumps are certainly possible.
