Well today I found out that once you pick a faction in deep space your stuck with that faction forever. For me I picked Corsec pilot so I could help both my imperial friends and rebel friends on there mission but sadly I was mistaken. Funny thing is I could kill imperial/rebels in kessel before I first entered deep space and after I can only kill rebels. I can still kill either if I find them in other sectors but if I enter kessel or deep space I'm boned and can only kil rebels. Did anyone else run into this and knew about it in advance? If I had I'd have just done the RSF ace and forget about corsec since there already aligned with the Empire. Oh well that's my rant.

Wasn't there something posted about redeeding the ship you go to Deep Space with fixing this? Try it and see.

Yes, removing all components and redeeding the ship 'should' fix this faction bug, tho I am pretty sure I read at least one post that said it didn't work for that player. I totally understand your thoughts, as I went corsec to also be able to help anyone I wanted toand I won't go to DS with that character until they fix that bug.

Well I had sent a ticket in cause I honestly thought this was a bug and the CSRs (3 of them) told me this is how they intended it to be. =(

Actually, I believe this was intentional. For the neutral pilots, RSF can not attack imps, and Corsec can attack either but their final mission decides for them who they ally with. SA can attack either and just cant attack Hutts, but their final missions involve killing imps.

Ya the CSR told me it was intentional but it's not decided on what vet you do it's decided on what faction you chose when you enter Deep Space for the first time. If you never go into Deep Space I think you could continue killing either Imps or Rebs as a corsec pilot.

This is what I was afraid of happening to me and the reason I have never gone into Deep Space. I like being "neutral" and being able to attack pretty much anything I want (except Hutts, I'm part of the Smuggler's Alliance). It makes heavy factional firefights with NPCs all the more interesting since if you aren't watching it, you can accidentally clip the Reb ship when going after the Imp one. Then you have a much larger fight on your hands

I had this happen to me multiple times, I simply re-deeded my ship logged out for 15 mins logged back in put my ship back together and off to kessel I go and can kill anything, have had this happen multiple times and have fixed it multiple times as for the CSR saying its working as designed - ummm sorry try talking out of the mouth you do not sit on.
