Ok, I don't want to sound like a big sissy or anything, but hanging out in my YT1300 and decorating the interior is extremely fun. My wife makes fun of me and says it's like I'm playing with my barbie doll house and setting up all the furnature... except my barbie house comes with two lvl 10 turrets that blow up anything that comes within a few 100 meters
Anyway, can any YT owners who have taken the time to decorate their ship give me any suggestions? Of the three main rooms, I've set one up as a tactical ready room where the crew can meet to discuss plans and have mission briefings. The other is a medical bay complete with beds, surgical droids, and a medical holocron/database.
I can't figure out what to do with the final room. The room I'm specifically talking about the one with the panel hanging down. If the cockpit where at 1 or 2 o'clock, this room would run from about 3 or 4 o'clock to 6 o'clock or so.
So far I've considered a supply room, a captain's quarters with like a desk and such, and also some sort of rec/living room. Any other suggestions?

I put a couple of crafting stations (WDG and Food/Chem) in my third room, for any crafter friends I bring along to have something to do before the battle gets going. It also allows any medics on board to craft stims for those pesky plasma fires...
I also make sure there are containers with conduit and component repair kits in each room, that can be reached from the corridors in case that room is on fire.
Other than that, a nice couch, a couple of chairs, and some small plants for "atmosphere"...

Just made master 2 days agoand I like you have been having a blast settingmyYTup. I have in the room with the grated floor just spare parts and tool chests to give it that always in the works look. In another room Ive got the game table and yt couch/chair set up with 2 sets of bunk beds and a round couch (for those long trips out into wild space) and the last room Im filling to the top with crates of spice giving me the RP smuggler feel I want.

If I get the time I'm pondering setting it up into an art museum type place. I haven't done much with it because I still need to buy the repair kits. All I have in it right now is my YT coutch and it really looks ugly where it's sitting.

Ugh, I find it a royal pain to set up art in a YT. Almost all the flat walls have repair panels on them, and the angled walls only let you push a picture so far back. Leaves a lot of dead space and looks odd to me. I had a much easier time decorating my Nova. even though those walls dont let you get pictures flush a lot of the time either. (personal opinion that the bounding areas on ALL MP ships need tweaking... dont get me started on the bar in my Yacht- Grrrrrrrr)
Wish I had some good suggestions for the OP, since it sounds like thats the room with the loot box, maybe that should be the cargo hold. On my Nova, I have Sith resource crates and food crates stacked in the hold, and it looks good.

A cargo hold...a friend of mine has made his ship for his smuggler toon. He has crates of resources and other supplies. Make it like a big storage room in there.

I spent HOURS decorating my Decimator. Decked out with a full compliment of faction purchased furniture and rare items (some of which are no longer in-game)
That was fine and dandy when I was an Imp pilot, but now that I am nearly a Smugglers Alliance ace I can't wait to deed my YT-1300. I too will spend a good amount of time decorating that ship as well (should be the most imperial YT-1300 in space.. lol!
I'll try to post my Decimator screenies as well as my YT-1300 screenies asap. I do take pride in decorating my homes/ships. My PA hall is setup just beautifully if I do say so myself (hardly any unused space at all) it includes a melee tournament ring, 2 berooms, 2 offices, 2 lounges, a meditation chamber, a crafters haven and a fully decorated bar/speak easy in the basement.
Hmmm.. maybe it's time to enter in the Garva's Homeshow competition....

I love hanging out inside my YT, but nobody else really seems to share the same enthusiasm.... about 10 seconds after that picture was taken all three of them were asking me to land on Naboo Stupid people, lol.
