Thread: The future of the 'Advanced A-wing'

I wanted you guys to have a look at a concept design I made. An advanced version of the A-wing which I think SOE should add in publish 25. Here is a brief description of its capabilities:
- No need for a re'd engine as it already comes with a 200 speed, 100 r,p,y rate engine.
- Despite already having an engine, it has a 1.6 speed mod, 20,20,10p,y,r on the acceleration mods and 660k mass to play with.
- With this additional mass, it'll class as a mini POB ship thus turbolasers and other Elite parts will beable to fit onboard.
- The hit box will be a 2-D disk just forward of the cockpit of 2 squared centimetres so will be next to impossible to hit with anything short of a quantum death ray.
- Droid Interface? What droid interface? This A-wing thinks for itself with all overloads processing in -1.5 seconds (pre-cognition technology patented
). - Three weapon slots and actual weapon spread with automated convergence for counteringthose RG TIEs with their pesky hitboxes.
- Epulse 4* comes standard
*Epulse 4; same power as EP3 only with a 1.5km range and will trigger automatically when an enemy PC ship flies within that proximity.
- Two ordnance slots....Because it can!
- Following the trend of the ROTW ships and because I felt left out when the TIE Advanced could get them and an A-wing couldn't, the Advanced A-wing gets winglets. Not just anywinglets though, these deflect blaster fire (Lylat Wars Ar-Wing style
) and are what give the ship its additional mass and manouverability. - The latest texture kit comes free with subliminal PIE promotion message.
Well there you go guys. I'm certainly looking forward to its introduction...

Touché . Oh and my theory is that a starship that powerful would crash a server and generally vapourise overpopulated ones like Bria.

660k is to light...it should have the same mass as a nova so the elite parts can be fitted in all three slots. Also the engine could use a little tweaking it seems abit sluggish to me. And honestly only 1500m range on Epulse4? Should be 3k at least no sense in having to actually fly near the stuff your killing.

Laugh now...if the ROTWers (the stereotypical ones that most of us mock) get their way this'll be the damn STARTER ship.

As an A-wing pilot, my first instinct is to say pretty please. As a mature adult, my sober second thoughtthinks this would set a bad precedent. As a SWG gamer, however, I can enjoy myself and say "LOL!"

Yup, I think it looks neat too. Unfortunately, as much as I like swbf, the online player community for it seems to be about 5 years old 
. Just take a look at their forums o.o
