Thread: Armor attachments and skill tapes...

I would like to know how armor attachments and clothing skill tapes work. If I have +3 polearm damage, does that only add a measly 3 points to my damage... or is this a percentage? Same with modifiers like polearm accuracy 1 on an armor attachment? If someone can give me a basic lesson on how these affect our pikeman skills in combat, I would be appreciative. I see vendors selling polearm damage 1 armor attachments for an average of 15k, and would like to know if this is for its rarity alone...

Tzitzimime - Creature Handler and Pikeman since the beginning.
I continue to play this game out of love for my professions.

When the "New Game Enhancements" go live, I will leave this game.
You can give it a pretty name, but it does not hide your shame...

"I mean, what is a pikeman and why is it something in the game? The only other profession we didn't absorb into one of these iconic templates is the creature handler and only 1% of our players play that character type."

Yep. All the attachment bonuses are direct additions to your skill total. For polearm damage, this number is added on to the min and max damage values of your polearm you're using, i.e. With a 110-370 LVA and a "polearm damage +5" skill attachment, your damage output is actually 115-375.

doesnt seem like that much extra damage until you put it in use. +25 polearm damage becomes much more obvious after you start adding in the multipliers for damage.

Keep in mind also, that they do not stack on the same articles or armor/clothing. So you need to put them all on different parts. Also, they only work in 5s. 5, 10, 15 all the way up to 25 (max).

....and the maximum number of bonus you can get is +25 to a skill, even though it says +360 you still get +25 as the effective number
