Okay, now that we've got that out of the way, has anyone besides me been keeping up with spy reports and official information releases concerning Episode III? I'm wondering how quickly Episode III - relevant content will be added to SWG. I only bring this up, here on the Pikeman forum, because spy reports paired with interviews with some of the crew have been hinting at a polearm type weapon making an appearance in Episode III.

I don't have the details on this weapon with me at this time (you can try running a search over at theforce.net), however most have come to the conclusion this polearm either IS the Force Pike, the weapon the Emperor's Royal Guards wield, or it is another version of it. In Episode III, the weapon is wielded by elite henchmen types who take orders from a Separatist General (rumored to be known as General Grievous) working alongside Count Dooku. Here's what makes this weapon unique -- it is impervious to lightsabers.

Sounds wonderful for Pikemen. Will this become a SWG reality? Probably not, but who knows... it's worth throwing out there just so we can dream about it.

I really don't think spoiler alerts are needed when talking about episode 3.

I'm pretty sure we all know how it turns out.

I've kinda kept up with and from what i heard it's some sort of mounted combat like what was seen in the cartoon network series of shorts.

I added the spoiler alerts to be on the safe side. Some people are very adamant they remain unspoiled for 2005. I wouldn't want to make them angry -- it's very dangerous business.

Anyways, yeah. I had forgotten all about the Cartoon Network lances. Durge and his assassin droids did some very heavy damage with those polearms. I wonder where I could find a lance that could tear a tank to shreds.
