Greetings,

First of let me say that this idea came to me as I was reading the in development part of the pikeman forum. I was just wondering about the lack of defence that pikeman seem to get.

"Natural defenses - Lowest natural defenses, once an enemy gets past our staff/pike, we're in a bad position, not much we can do. Our only defenses, which are superb, are in the use of our weapon"

And this makes lots of sence to me. But I was wondering that since pikeman are the people in the front taking on multiple enemies, standing there with swordsmen swinging really big things. Then doesn't it fit that not only should we get "Weapon Defences" we would have lots of training in wearing lots of armor. I was just wondering if it would be feasible for pikemen to have some type of bonus toward the encumbrance of armors. That is what pikeman do isn't it? Stand there and make sure an enemy doesn't get past, and if they try make them really sorry! That would explain why we're don't get the toughness that TKA's do or the dodge that fencers do, cause pikemen/swordsmen are the ultimate -stand there and take the hit- tanks.

Like I said.... just wondering
