Thread: Über Weapon Idea

Interesting idea, but Pikeman really needs to be FIXED before more content is added. We already have an "Uber" wepon, the NSEL (kinda). How would a wepon like yours be implimented so the amount of them in use at any give time is not overwhelming?


A wepon like this would be to imbalancing to an already imbalanced game. Maybe after the Combat Balance (they still SWEAR that is comming eventualy) an idea like this could be submited to the Devs by Gunman.

ur suggesting they make alot of specials that only one specfic weapon could use? thats like saying only a republic blaster could use fan shot but any other pistol cant, and i cant imagine a LVA shooting fire..

First off: I don't actually expect this to be implemented for reasons already stated.


Second: It's not supposed to be an LVA, that's the point. I am sick of our best POLEARM being an axe.


And the NSEL is not an über weapon in any way, shape, or form.

Ok, everyone wants a AP3 cold pike weapon. Fine for them, but this is MY idea. Anyone play the LOTR:ROTK game? Of course you do. Anyways, my idea would be to have a polearm similar to Gandalf's staff. Good speed, mediumish damage, and low HAM costs. But most importantly, do heat damage and have fire-state causing moves. (which would make our mind fire lances have some logic behind them.) Make it a long silver/white staff with fire-generating bulbs at the end.


Example:


Fire Staff
Attack Speed = 3.0
Damage = 100 - 300


and then we have moves:
/polearmBlast1/2/3 (1.0x/1.5x/2.5x/ multiplier, melee, single target, fire state)
/polearmAreaBlast1/2 (2.0x/4.0x multiplier, melee, multiple targets [full circle], fire state, Area2 takes time to charge)
/polearmShot1/2 (1.5x/3.0x multiplier, RANGED, single target, fire state)
/polearmSpreadShot1/2 (1.5x/3.5x multiplier, RANGED, multiple targets [cone], fire state, SpreadShot2 takes time to charge)


And then add some really cool animations with fire coming out, and you have one ÜBER weapon. Of course, even if we did get this, it would not be as great as this, and then everyone and his mother-in-law would become pikeman. but, it's just an idea that I came up with.
