I just wanted to share some of my experiences with luck, and see what everyone else thinks.
I'm a Master Pikeman, Brawler, and Swordsman. Pike is the main profession I use, unless I *have* to use Swordsman...ie - Elders. I have been for quite some time, certainly before this influx of pikemen.
So, my friends and I are out killing NS elders. I'm using pikes for DOTs since I don't have an NEL yet, and then switching over to a PH to help my friends kill it. I have my sentinel tag up, since it's the coolest tag by far. Every time I loot the elder, my group ends up getting creds, whereas my friends are getting lances, shards...nothing worthwhile, but at least something. So, I'm sitting there complaining about how pikemen can never loot anything, something I know we've all thought from time to time, and my friend jokingly says, "Put up your swordsman tag and don't use a pike on this one." Well, it couldn't hurt, so I tried it.... And ended up with an infinite use action poison lance. What the hell is that?
So then, yesterday I'm killing Aa'kuans on Talus, hoping to find a ring. Using pike, I'm not getting anything....creds every once in a while, but mostly nothing. So, I try it again...I switch my title to Master Swordsman, switch to my scythe, and I start getting loot. Within 20 minutes I had my ring...
So, my thinking is, one of the skills in the upcoming revamp is "Jedi luck," which is supposed to increase loot chance. Could pikemen be getting the shaft of some latent form of this mod? Maybe I'm just being paranoid....
Flame, or post your thoughts....I'd like to hear either way what you think....

Hehe. I have horrible luck looting nightsisters. I'll spend hours camping them and get regular NS lances and credits and a freind of mine will kill 3 and get a 500+ dam VL and a 250str mind posion lance. Looks like pikeman get shafted in everything

i kill 1k + nightsisters for that mind fire lance
novoo goes out kills his 1st sister loots my lance (luckily gives me it)
kill 2k finally get something worth it ....(+13 pistol speed) ...sell for 3 mil, a month later the buyer resells for 10 mil.
best lance---576 dmg lance w/ slice to bring it to 700 damage (i do believe thats now in your arsenal jemus)
face it pikeman suck at getting loot

if that's the one with the mind poison, yeah...hehe.
You can have it back if you want it. I never use it.

I will send a big "A-MEN" to this post. I am a Master Pikeman/Master Doctor so I can't really switch and heal them to death, but it truly seems like I never get a loot other than the standard piece of crap NS Lance 8000 uses 40 strength.
My friend's friend who has never been a pikeman loots a 250 strength 10000 use lance in Action poison! How sweet would that be since we hit action. True, mind is better, but that makes our job even quicker.
So, he went and got just enough polearm experience (IN BRAWLER) to use this fine weapon.
Oh, and did I mention he was a master 2-handed swordsman?

First time i killed Akxva (with a purchased Energy Lance) got the NSEL schematic , looted 2 exceptional weapons in a week , found a NS bicep in a loot pile in the spiderclan cave , workng on my second suit of BH armour , house full of sweet DOT weapons , GDK scale , 2 gurk king hides in one night , 20 nym feeders in one night. My luck is just fine. In fact when i go hunting withfriends they almost insist i loot cos my pikey luck seems so good.

oh i dunno, my luck seems to be just fine on lots of days, although i never loot any of that high end uber stuff, i do get alot of 500+ dam pikes to keep me goin. i do seem to have better luck when its raining, 3 attachments in 10min (which is sayin something cuz these are the first attachments ive looted in 4 weeks of ns killing)

for about 4 months i had master pikeman up killed about 5k+ NS and the best i got was about a 150 strength action poison with about 5% potency, but i ve been hunting them for the last week with "quickdraw" or "trick shot" as my title and seem to be getting some decent ones, still waiting on the uber pikes thou.
is it just me or do we get action DOT loots far more than any other pool?
last night i got my best loot for a while 150-450 6.5 speed +9 speed +5 block +5 def vs KD, not amazing but one of the best i ve got

Well, I wanted to test this out last night so I changed my title from Master Pikeman to Master Doctor once I left the outpost. I must have killed over 100 nightsisters during the night (went through 2 buffs) and never got a really good lance.
I did, however, get better loot than I ever have. I picked up a +7 block armor attachment(with pistol accuracy and 2-hand sword evasion), some good rancor teeth, nightsister armor segments, some various lances of usual power but nothing special.
I switched back to pikeman for my second buff and got credits of all the rangers, stalkers and spell-weavers I killed.
I will tell you, though, killing nightsisters all night wears me out.
The only time I was really close to dying was when I tried to take on 2 spell-weavers, 2 sentinels and 2 protectors at once. They beat my mind down to the point I had to run for my life and lost the loot on the ones I was able to kill.
