See ya Gunman and all the Pikeman who's stood together for so long. All these **edit**in new Piker's who come here for the sole purpose of DOT just ruined the novelty and funof being Pikeman. As if everyone thinking im Master Pikeman only because of Holocron wasn't bad enough. It is now embarassing to stay Master Pike, for me anyway, blending in with all the pathetic "I-wunt-2-B-Ub3R!!!" DOT Pikeman.
It's been a while, but see ya, I can see Antares is the only one still around from the dark ages

I know what your talking about, and I hate the new piker dot **edit** too. Though I'm not as old as you in the pikeman profession I've been around for a good 4 months

i picked up pike July last year, took me about 3-4 months to master - and i could never find a trainer. These days ppl carrying a DOT stick are everywhere, but who can blame em - its almost the only way u can hurt ppl thesedays.

I'm a pike for ages, and I'm not about to be bullied out by some crazed DOT fanboys. It'll blow over again. Something else will shine in the corner of their eye and they'll all run over there and fiddle with that.

I totally agree with you all.
I recently had my account hacked and quite a few of my uber skills and mods were stolen (dissappeared) and had to drop pike to pick up other skill to go out and BASH NS again to try an re aquire more mods that were taken.
I have said this befor and I will say it again the best way to stop all the wanna be dot****ing pikeman is to put the certifiaction for all dots weps in master block of pikeman and then problem solved it is all the n00b dabblers with dot sticks that are killing the chances for pikeman to fixed properly peoepl complain about pikeman dots on lances and that takes their eyes of the brokeness of our profession. I think some thing really needs to be done andhave all dot weps from any class incuding fencer and the lot put in the masterblocks of there respected profs.

As a new pikeman,
I have found the boards civil, informative (despite the all too often trade post) My complementary profession is Master Ranger, and I have done almost all the other weapon professions. I found Pikeman to be fun, stylish, very cool and useful. I dont PvP, (being a ranger kinda prevents any involvement in PvP) and while i see the Dot-Pikers running around, I know that I have finally found a good combo for the way I like to fight.

Personally I have a DoT collection of my own because I have a base to defend every night hehe, but I prefer the high dmg/low spd loots and people think I am crazy for it. We'll see who has the last laugh when Combat Rebalance gets out in 2010, anyway I wholeheartdly agree that the DoT pikes are a problem for the people who want to play the class and not the loot.
