Hello...

First off, I am a big PvP addict. I'm also an ex-master Pikeman, and I know how difficult the profession is. With that said...

The latest craze in pvp is to get pikes 4 in brawler combines with TK kd/dizzy and use NS lances with double dots (namely mind poison). This is destroying the foundation of PvP. I dueled about 20 people yesterday... 8 of them were using NS lances with mind dots... none of them master pikemen. They kd/dizzy, stack the dots, and run... sometimes switching to fencer just so they can dodge until the DoTs do their work. This isn't pvp'ing...

I'm not the best duelist, probably never will be. But I can say there IS a problem with everyone and their mom grabbing NS lances and pikes 4 and DoT stacking. This tactic has ruined Shadowfire pvp wise over the last two weeks. I'd like to start a petition to make NS lances a certification at master pikeman level. This would not only separate the dabblers who want cheap kills, but also make masters much more effective in PvP. This wouldn't affect looted lances with DoT's... just NS lances (where most of the DoT's come from).

1) NS Lances are not good enough to be a Master Certed weapon, even if they all drop with dots. i have never seen anyone use one except to dot their opponent. their damages suck because of the minvalue. you can get just asgood of a dot in a VLA which is only 1 box above the lance cert.

2) PVP dotting will come to an end for most in a few days when the 5second (or whatever) delay between switching weapons comes in. right now i can swing4 times in 4 seconds and land 5 dots (all poisons,health disease, mind fire) to do that in a few days will take upwards of 15seconds i think. 15seconds in pvp is WAY to long to just land dots, most die in that time span.

guys just wait till the combat balance. then make petitions if you dont like it. i trust some good changes will happen. I personally think master is to high though. I think novice wuold be better.
