Pikeman Archive

I have noticed this and then someone pointed out to me that when using an AOE attack, it will only attack multiple targets if the targets are aggro'd on you. Is this correct? I thought something was a little diffent. I wade into a group of reds, swing area 2, and it looks like it is only damagingthe initial target.

Has this always been like this? Am I just now noticing this? If this was changed was there a reason why?

If anyone can shed any light it would be apprciated. With the weapon switching delay and the initial aoe attacking a single target, it is really going to change the way pikeman play the game. I was use to using an aoe attack, to land a state then another follow up aoe to kd, stunn, or something.

i usualy hit the other mobs too but currently im still using polearm spin 1/2.
only thing i can tell you is that if you instakill the targeted mob with one hit, the other surrounding mobswont be harmed

every typo i made here is fully wanted and only exists due to entertainment reasons

If the pikeman aoe attacks are the same as the swordsman ones ( in regards to the aoe mechanics) then they will hit any mob which is in your immediate area, including those who are not specifically targeting you.

So this aoe attack has only been putting states andthen aggrosnear by enemies. If so has it always been like this? I'm fine with it, just never noticed and wondered if it was part of the patch that went in.

Always always.

You will only hit the "targeted" target. The area attack will notdamage anythign else in your radius, but it will agro them. Also, any additional effects to your attack, i.e. everything except damage, WILL still effect the targets in the radius.
Spin Attack 2 WILL knock down all the targets, but not damage them. Also bleeds, poisons etc.

Arg...when i can edit, i won't sound as dumb.

Sweep 2, will knock them down, not spin attack 2.

Spin attack 2 will only dizzy them.

And Area Attack 2 will dizzy and stun them.
