It's time once again for good idea, bad idea.
Good Idea -
No more shooting through walls and hills. Playing on testcenter the other day, I discovered that, if a creature is behind a hill, tree or wall, it can't be seen and thus, can't be shot.
Good news for pikemen fleeing the scene of a fight.
Bad Idea -
Armor and weapon delay. So, I can't change weapons or armor with moves queued in my combat box. As an added bonus, not only can I not change stuff on the fly anymore, but there is now a very nice delay in removing and equipping armor. Add this to the fact that you can't ingest food with moves queued and you can't take stuff out of a crate during combat.
Way to go!! Score one more for the idiot who thought this was smart.

I think the changes are perfectly logical. You're not going to be sifting around in your backpack or changing clothes while fending off a Stormtrooper. It's perfectly reasonable.

No kiddin, actual LOS? This isn't just a mistake where the server thinks you are 80 meters away?
I'm on the fence with the delays, good and bad have happened from it. Although it makes your random chance encounters that much more interesting.
'Damn a tef, **edit** an overt'
*both players scurry behind a wall and attempt to put on the most armor peices*
'Ok, got a right bracer, left bicep, chest plate and the legs will be on in 1, 2, 3...'
*runs around corner catching other player with their pants down*

The armor on/off during a fight doesn't bother me that much, it's the armor on/off when I'm sitting there doing nothing. No need for a delay then.
Weapons on the other hand. I should be able to switch back and forth at anytime with no delay. It's just wrong.
For anyone who starts talking about the way things are IRL or the way things should be, go to hell.
There is far too much screwed up in this game as it is to start worrying about continuity or niceties like that.

It would be nice if the weapon-switching had a lower or zero delay for switching between intra-profession weapons. Commandos could switch with a much-reduced or zero delay between commando weapons, pikemen could switch between LVAs and VLs, but switching from a lance to a VK would take the full delay.

I'd go in for something like this.

They stuck in the delay so jedi couldn't macro taking armor on/off to do their force powers. Since their powers are now limited with armor on.

I really can't stand the armor/weapon delays. If i get attacked in cnet without my armor, i need to wait 30 seconds to put it on while the other guy is shooting at me. Couldn't they just add a delay on jedi robes?

Wha happen? You been reminising over some old Clab threads?
I like the idea of interprofession switching also.
Why couldn't this restriction be placed on JUST combat anyway? That shouldn't have been too difficult to acheive, at best it would be a Jedi in comp at all times, ganked, and has a delay to equip his robe and (bracers, helm?) The inability to attack would seem to be enough of a penalty to sway most persons from doing that.
Plus, maybe it's just me but it doesn't seem to que right, I end up with half a suit on if I run all my hotkeys, haven't tried the macro sence tho, figured it would give the same result.
Really though, LOS, no more shooting through mountains and stuff?
