I've been out of it since March, so I am just getting back into the game. Got a couple questions for the group:
1. What's the best armor configuration? Composite breast and leg/boots or something lighter than that. I'm in the process of getting new armor. Full composite really wrecked me a while back.
2. I assume the best weapon is still the LVA? Anyone know the best material to craft it with?

1) Composite helmet, gloves, chestplate, and boots. Nothing else. Those 4 items give full protection. Or Ubese is nearly as good for kinetic while being cheaper and lower encumbrance.
2) For an ideal crafted LVA you'd need the following:
Ditanium steel w/ 1000 SR (shock resistance)
Duralloy steel w/ 1000 SR
Copper w/ 1000 SR
Non-ferrous metal w/ 1000 SR
for the vibro motors:
Platinite copper w/ 1000 UT (unit toughness)
Class 3 solid petrochem, stats don't matter
Desh copper w/ the highest UT you can find (best I've ever seen was ~370)
at least 4 identical vibro motor enhancements (needed to make 3 identical vibro units)
Of course, even if you get all that you can loot LVAs several times as good as anything you can craft.

Copper won't be found with an SR higher than 800, and the highest will most likely be Polysteel Copper. For the non-ferrous metal, Phrik Aluminum is your best bet, and I've never seen higher than 900 SR.

And Desh Copper in particular caps at SR 372. Man, SWGCraft.com is a great site!

you really wanna find a looted axe. for normal hunting i use a looted 450 damage because the ham costs are really low
