I recently picked up pikes, mainly to pvp with, since my main is doing the Jedi grind and was wondering how well in PvE I will be able to do with the following temp:
Master Brawler
Master Pikeman
3/0/4/0 Doctor
I am speed capped, but since Doc is still neccessary ( unfortunetly, GoGo CB ) for PvP, I have pretty much no Defense versus anything, will I still be effective in PvE? I know I wont be soloing Krayts or Elders, I dont really want to, but at least all other NS besides Elders? Thanks in advance.

You, should be able to since you have all your pike moves and you can cure all states.

Ive been using Master Pike/Brawler. In PvE I can take just about anything and you with doctor should do even better, but I still get whooped by Fencer's or TKA's in PvP due to lack of defense stacking.

with good food/ent buffs ul do fine,just so u dont loose mind from healing.hopefully u should be able to keep on top of things if things get tough then

Cool, thanks for all the replies. It is definetly a change, my main was a Fencer/Doc and isa Fencer/TKA stacker ( for the Jedi grind ) so it is weird getting hit all the time lol, but I am loving pikes.

if your a msater brawler, or even just brawler, Intimidate will make those def stackers seem not so powerful
and easier to hit, and at least if there a def stacker u know there not going to be curing themselves BURN BABY!!!

Yeah i ended up dropping Master Brawler and picking up TK 4-3-0-4 with Master Pike, I plan on doing some PVP tonight so well see how it turns out. But I do miss the heck out of Intim 2

Let me know how that goes, I would really like to drop MBrawler and pick up some more Defense or at least enough Doc to buff myself.

Well having the TK stack was an improvement, without using dots I went to a draw with a master swordman. With dots I won a few and finally lost to a master pikeman with better dots than I had. After that we went in search of PVP with a 6 man squad, and ran into two Jedi Knights and well...you can imagine how that went.

i wouldnt say own at all.... without a mind fire pike the only real damage you can do is negated by buffs and armor. not having an attack that targets mind pool makes it tough.

I was thinking of doing:
Master Pikes
4/0/4/0 Doc
4/3/0/0 Fencer
Lets me heal Disease/Poisin/Fire and all States
Gives me Ranged and Melee of 90s in each
Also gives me decent Defense vs. KD/Posture Change
I lose Intim 2 and Lunge 2 ( /cry ) but I think the trade off is worth it.
