Ok, so I'm doing the vehicle control quest right now and bored to tears. Anyway, I wanted to start a "fun" thread for people to relay their favorite pikeman anecdotes for the rest of the community.

My favorite has to be when I was asked by 2 jedi if I wanted to go to the merc room with them. I agreed, since I was there getting FS xp, so the two of them, another person (I think a master Doc, but I'm not sure exactly who it was) and myself rush in there. Of course I lay down aoe dizzy kd's like it's going out of style, but I only get maybe 5 of the 30 or 40 NPC's on their back. Now the two jedi moth get incapped/db'd in about 5 maybe 7 seconds, the other guy runs for it and dies in the hallway, and I'm left all alone spinning away like a top. Thank god for +21 pike spd and a 660 max LVA (my PvE lance at the time). Well, as a master pike/rifle with some medic skills I'm able to slice through the spawns for quite a while till I capped xp and then run out in between spawns. Unfortunately the jedi had to clone and got hit with the xp loss hard, but I was really stoked that I was able to hold my own against a spawn the took down two jedi! I don't think that they were very high lvl yet (didn't ask) but I still had a big 'ole smile on the way out.

Anyway, entertain me with your PvE combat stories, I need something to keep me busy.

Tanking 12 SBDs right after the 'key-master' room in the DWB. A MCommando/BH hit the wrong hot-key and let off a Lightning Cone 2. D'Oh.

Needless to say, it caught some of us unawares.

The TKM/Doc was the first to go down. Then a MHS bought it. Then our CM bought it. I can't remember how many mobs were aggro'd by that first LC2...I have a screenie around here somewhere.

It ended up being me, another Piker and the remaining four MCommando/BHs builds, with us Pikes smack in the middle of droid hell. I believe I lost well over 150 cond on my 800 dam VL. Eventually, the other Pike with me bought it, so it ended up being just me, running in, pulling all the aggro I could and getting stuff nice and bunched up for the 'Mandos to burninate. Thankd God for Stim Ds. Got past the mines that way. We were so focused on what we are doing, then next thing we notice is:

"The Sever will be shutting down in4 minutes. Please find a safe place to log out."

Guess we missed the first 11 messages in all the spam.
