Thread: To add Medic, or not to add Medic, that is the question...

Hey all, I've been coming here ever since I aspired to become a novice pikeman months ago, but I don't think I've posted at all. I do have a question for you all. After looking at the "Template" thread, something dawned on me...


I can't heal myself!!!


So I've been thinking of adding Medic to my own template. Here is the breakdown ATM...


Master Brawler

Master Pikeman

TKA 4/0/0/4

Scout 3/0/0/0


That leaves me w/ 52 points to burn. Should I invest them into the Medic profession, and if so, which branches should I put points in to?

IMO a must have: Novice Medic for Stims B and without TKA-Mediation Woundhealing

good: Medic 2000 - Stims "B", Woundhealing, Cure Bleeds

nice: Medic 2040 - Enhanced Stims "E", Woundhealing, Cure Bleeds

very nice: Medic 2240 - Enhanced Stims "E", Woundhealing, Cure Bleeds, Drag other Incap.-Players



Mastered Professions so far: * Brawler *TKA * Fencer * Swordsman * Pikeman * Marksman * Rifleman * Scout * Creature Handler * Medic

At a bare minimum I would recommend getting Medic 2-0-3-0. You don't really need the Chemistry tree because you can buy the stimpacs (chemistry just lets you make your own stuff). You don't need the diagnostics tree if you are just healing yourself and you use something other than Stimpac A's (diagnostics only speeds up the delay between heals).


Medic 2-0-0-0 allows you to stop bleeds and is a must if you want to take on more advanced opponents.


Medic 0-0-3-0 allows you to use experimented Stimpac C's which are awesome. Moving up to 0-0-4-0 you can use Stimpac D's and experimented Stimpac E's. I highly recommend at least 0-0-3-0 so you're not healing as often and can keep swinging away.

At least Medic 2040. With the number of free SP you have, you could go 4340, which would give really nice heals. I personally have 2040 on my Pikeman and I find it sufficient. Using BE'd clothing, my stim Ds hit for 1500 a crack, which aint bad. Very very helpful against the high end PvE stuff.

Combat Prowess 0/0/0/4

Medic 0/0/4/0


right now i am

M TK

Pike 4/3/1/3

brawler 4/4/0/4

Melee speed in prowess 4

Luck 1-4

some scout

0/0/4/0 medic


Stim D's are very amazing, and people get very angry when u heal in a duel. And i think it is funny, how would they fell if I ended the duel and started B(@#-ing when they wipped out a stun weapon?? kinda funny if you ask me............

Cool, at least Medic 2/0/4/0 seems to be the consensus. Sounds good. Now, I still have a large chunk of points left (a lot are going to start going towards FS boxes). If I start dumping points into the "Treatment Speed" branch, will I be able to heal MYSELF faster? I've heard conflicting reports, so I'm unsure.
