Thread: Looking for Feedback on hunting Elders

Ok I'm TKM/Master Pike and parts of othersso the only weapon I have to use against Elders is my NSEL, since it's light AP and only about 400 dmg it won't tear through them as fast as a swordsman, just wondered if anyone has tried this, I'm about to be speed capped, but don't see the point in burning up my NSEL if it takes over 30 minutes to solo an elder. I'm not switching templates as I'm mostly PvP, has anyone used an Energy Lance against Elders that can give me some insight?

Ok, now that that's out of the way, I'll stay on topic. If you want to solo an elder, pick up swords or bring a friend. Thats what it amounts too.

I wouldn't use the NSEL for this.I don't like the idea of getting that close to an elder to begin with, and it took 45 min to do one in with conceal shot to find zero loot. That's the real problem. You could burn up your lance, and have nothing to show for it. Killing that thing knocked a couple hundred points off my (medium AP)laser rifle. No big deal, really, the thing was free (made a couple of crates before I left smithing) but I might have a different opinion if it were a krayt weapon, or worse yet, something as hard to come by as that lance.

well, i did it once back when they didnt use powers, longest 45 minutes of my life. i wouldnt try it now

Dots will stick, you can try stacking mind fire, and mind poison dots. She heals on the health and action bar once they are low. Heals are around 5k-10k so you're better off at attacking the mind

Yeah that's what I do now, poison and fire her and wait, just wondered if it would help to bust out the NSEL, but I guess I'll just keep waiting on the dots or wait for company, cause I ain't going swords, and I ain't quitting NS hunting.
