ok just so you know this same question is going on swordsman fencer and tk forums
im about to unlock my jeid chracter and i like loot whoring so im gonna make my alt rifleman/a melee prof
what i need is a list of the pro's and con's on the pikeman prof i know the dot's in pikeman are good and would help in pvp
i will be rifleman/medic 0040 and whatever melee prof i decide on thx in advance

Pike has block added to the rifle block and dots. And good damage if you can afford an LVA
fencer has great defenses and thats about it IMO
Swords has a melee mind pool hit and with it you can kill anything in the game cuz you have blast. oh and counter attack rocks. Fought a swordsman tongiht with crazy counterattack. beat me to death cuz he always countered when I hit him and hit me for damage 8-10 i took a swing at him and he took no damage.
TKM has an automatic speed cap, Head it (along with all others) and in my opinion most importantly- Mediate. As long as there are dots I will have meditate in my template.

Yea meditate rocks, i seem to be the lucky one who gets the 250 mind disease from Rancors and seeing as i dont have meditate i pretty much flucked. Trying to kill axkva with 1099 mind wounds is pointless...so i have to run around trying to find ents just after reset.

pfft. . . .one word- Giant canyon Kimogila max disease to ALL stats
and BTW if you wanna know what complimetns rifleman, ask there. . .we know what compliments pike, not vice versa

rifle/pike is great for pvp too. Great dots and a good jawa/dxr and you can fight unbuffed! I do it sometimes and usually come out on top.

Rifleman/Pike Pistols 0040 had Better Def than most ppl thing.
70-90 in all Def VS..
Block is Capped
Rarely Get KD. NEVER GET Dizzy so if I do get KD I am back up in half a second.
Good For PVP. Even without Dots.
GREAT for PVE. I can take on Any NS as a Pikeman now. Although I leave the Elders to my Rifle.
I do love it.

Been busy man. By the time I get on, the fun is already over. So..I spend my time "loot" hunting, or as I have come to call it, time better spent sleeping. Things should calm down a bit in the coming weeks, so, I'll be back to cracking Rebel heads open...with LVA's this time, hopefully
I'll hit you up in game if you're on late, if there's no PvP, we can go hunt NS or something...I'm bound to get lucky sometime...lol

Pikeman/Rifleman is awesome to play. This template is probably the most fun I've had since I started playing Galaxies. It's challenging and it gives you great options in PvE and PvP.
