According to what I can decipher about the CU, every combat profession is getting new weapons.

As to what pikeman get, who knows for sure.

i dont want new ones, i want every weapon to have a use. . . . . .

More weapons for everyone I say. Useful ones too. Much better than everyone carrying around an LVA.

I still would most likely use my LVA. I love the way it looks and also when I see it in ROTJ I can say "oh yea thats my weapon" The new ones look very cool and I do agree that it will be cool to see Pikeman all over carrying their favorite pikes.

I think LVA is still one of the micest looking ones. But having a few more pikes with different types of damage are what we really need at the moment.

All combatclasses should be able to do every type of damage short of blast. Blast damage sounds like something that should be caused by a rocket or grenades, not a hammer, and should be a rarer damage type to find.
