Has anyone ever compiled any sort of figures on what chance % there is to loot a LVA with at least 800+ max damage from a Nightsister?

taken from data recorded from my experience looting....
800+ LVAs looted (0); NSs looted (THOUSANDS!!!!) that ratio turns out to be 0%, hope it helped

I killed elders for a week and the SH!T loot scared me off from them to the point of dropping swords

It's really only worth killing them if you can bring them down in 2 minutes or less. Usually I go out with a group of 3-5 and we kill them... well, really fast. We kill them by the dozen at least twice a week.
Today we looted 8 premium crystals and an LVA with 864 max, 22 block and 25 intimidate. They don't drop "uber" stuff often, but when they do... it's ungodly awesome. Keep going and you WILL eventually get somethinggreat from them.

kill SMC, you won't loot a 800 damage LVA, but i've looted plenty of 390-500 damage ones. with a good slice they're just as nice, and you actually have a good chance of getting them.

i've looted 2 nice pikes in the last 3 months...
lva sliced to 980 max dam
vl sliced to 812 max dam
both have no dots and were looted of lesser ns, think spell weaver and a protector, hope this helps

Best not to bother with elders, the armour decay and time taken to kill and get crap for loot isnt worth it. I only have 1 useful pike i got from an elder (298 mind poison) the rest have been crap. Protectors and spell weavers are the best to go with. I dunno about anyone else but wild NS seem to have a better chance of dropping good stuff, wild as in ones that dont spawn inside the Stronghold or the cave.

Yea i agree somewhat, i seem to get better crystal rate droppage from the POI spawn elders, and better pikes from the wild ones....but eh...who knows

i have NEVER looted a good pike in all my days. . . .last time i hunted NS I got Lightsabered with a powerhammer and killed in 4 hits. . . .
I did go krayt hunting last night, and got 2 PEARLS! w00t.......
