i've seen not many pikeman around on servers and expect it to be one of the most under-rated professions and i've done a little bit of it and it's alright. could any of you pikeman out there give any tips on pikeman? thanks for the help

I agree with that. You also should have atleast one hard hitting pike, atleast and 8 or 900.

If you can solo nightsisters with your current profession, start there and just loot for a few hours. With any luck you'll be able to pick up a nice Long Vibro Axe and Vibro Lance.

With the LVA you want something over 700...and good Vibro Lances are around the 500 mark. With these you can do some pretty serious damage PvE (kinetic and electric) , especially when you get area sweep 2 and area attack 2.

Also watch out for dot lances, they can still be handy PvE. With harder NPC's you can slap on some nice health or actiondots to wear them down faster if they have high resists.

Yeah if you are fighting pvp remember dont even try to hit anyone until they are both intimidated and stunned as well.

Well thanks for all the help guys, I mastered it and everything, i found an uber VL with about 300 max dmg and 1.7 spd! i don't know if i'm going to sell it or not but i never had to repair it even. it was all a great profession and all others out there should at least try it up to novice stuff.

I have 2x 250 strength mind poisons, one 300 strength mind fire, and some action fires for DoT's.

For damage I have a LVA with 250-900 Dmg and 162% wound chance. Yesterday i pwned5 impsat the same time!

Pikeman is all about equipment, and with the right gear...You can't loose 1v1 in pvp.

wait a second some of you guys just recomended geting dots DOTS = Evil i dont like dots they bug me the only reason i will use them is when i see a krayt dragon or somtin that i need help with and help is nowhere to be seen

I have to agree with the above. I have dotted pikes(Granted they arn't very good) but i never use them. I use a good old crafted LVA and a nice looted 500 max VL.

until the CU i am pretty sure everything count son equipmant (and think this is coming from a guy who uses uber rienforced combat staffs DARE TO BE DIFFERENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

i use a 211 mind fire, coupled with a 283 mind posion, which both tick for 2 mins... so its quite nasty

also im a tkm, so i just switch to head hits to finish

and goodman about owning the 5 imps, my record so far is 4... beat mine
