Thread: Best CA's/ AA's For Pikeman?

I especially was wondering if dodge is any good? Also i have a +9 block wich does work, but u still get damage taken just lowered.


If someone could make a list that would be great

yes, dodge is worthless unfortunately, block is like dodge but only lets you take 50% of the dmg instead of none, i would say get some pike speed attachments and maybe a few accuracy ones

Dodge is the defense ability utilized by Pistoleers and Fencers.
Block = Pikemen/Riflemen
Counterattack = Carbineer/Swordsman.

If you are equipping a Polearm, you can have +100000000 dodge and it will NEVER work unless you equip a pistol or one-handed weapon. Etc for everything else on that list. People complain because block allows 50% of damage through, but if you get that mod up high enough trust me it will still be very helpful.

The main tapes you should get ahold of are Polearm Speed, Polearm Accuracy, Block, Defense vs. Knockdown, and Melee/Ranged Defense.

And by the way, if you loot a Polearm Evasion +15 Clothing attachment, it doesn't work. Sorry. And yes, its okay to cry.

for pikeman best to get block/accuracy and speed

if master pikeman:-

u need +25 speed to cap (if no fs)
u need +10 block to cap
and accuraacy doesnt cap but the max u can get from aa/ca is +25

Master Pikeman has +75 Polearm speed and Master Brawler an extra +5.

Amount of Polearm speed needed to cap at weapons:


91+ for 4.4 speed or faster

92+ for 5.0 speed or faster


93+ for 5.7 speed or faster

94+ for6.6 speed or faster

95+ for8.0 speed or faster


So basicly, getting 100 polearm speed is not needed. Besides speed CA's/AA's, Accuracy (+25 in total) and Block (+25 in total) are usefull. Ranged and Melee Defense (+25)are usefull too, but that is usefull for every combat template.

i got 100 to be on th safe side and you dont need +25 Block because it caps at 125 and you have 115 at master

they might not nurf stacking you never know + they might change the pike def if they do change it so do mention the cu until its been comfirmed

Once the "Stacking" nerf hits, it would be best to get defence vs dizzy aa/ca's. With not being able to combine dizzy defence and combat equilibrium, pikeman will have a tough time in this area which really sucks! Only thing that will help you in the long run may be melee defence capped out, but once your dizzy, a good lunge attack or knockdown is going to ruin your day.
