Now that you have Support II, you should be able to use an LVA more effectively, which will almost always mean more damage. Until you get Stances II, use a speed-sliced LVA or a dmg-sliced VL and you should be alright. Once you get some speed mods, switch to using a dmg-sliced LVA. This should maximize your xp gain. Keep the dmg-sliced VL around and alternate to see which gives the best results. The player-made VL ususally has a better dps than player-made LVAs, but if you're killing in fewer hits, the LVA might work out better.

I'm in the same boat as you, only 0002 in pikeman with master brawler and I'm still somewhat inaccurate. I may hit about 3 out of 5 times. I switch between the 2 weapons listed above to whatever the enemy has a weakness to. Once you get 4004 in pikeman I don't think it matters what weapon you use since speed and accuracy are no problem anymore, but I want to use the Vibro Lance more since it requires novice pikeman rather than brawler skills.

My opinion is use your best killing class that you may have mastered and get all the combat exp to have 0004. Then you can use a bigSpeed sliced LVA no problem.
