Thread: Why do Non-Pikemen keep buying all the SEAs

I've been trying real hard to buy some good SEAs and weapons lately, but I keep getting outbid by non-pikemen.

Could someone please tell me what the hairy hell a weaponsmith or pistoleer or whatever wants with polearm SEAs or polearm weapons.

These people seem to have unlimited resources and buy up all the polearm loot when they have absolutely no use for them.

I see a lot of pikemen bid on these items but in the end some crafter or gunmonkey ends up winning the damn things.

Someone please splain this to me.

I am a Master sword who has been master sword for looooong time. I recently decided to give up my beloved hammers and scythes for a more artistic weapon, the pike. I am only 1003, but I love it! When I was a swordsman traveling around looking at vendors in hopes for a good speed SEA, I saw droves of polearm speed and damage SEA's, but now that I need some, and backtracking my previous route, I find there are none! I hope, since my third holo was BH and I hate that crap, that once this new FSCS method comes into play, all the grinders will go back to thier blasters and crappy carbines. *fingers crossed*

-By the way, if its not melee combat, its just masterbation!

They are just getting ready for the comabt fix, then they will all be jumping on the bandwagon. It is sad. They don't realize that the experience of being a borked pikemen will aid them when they are a working pikemen.

Also there are teh big a-holes, credit dupers, loot campers...and all around bastar.ds who will have zillions of credit, and will go around and buy anything out there that is good, just to keep others from getting an advantage, and or to hord it for later....

I'm not going to lie... I got in on Pikeman to see how "bad" it was, dropped master fencer for it. Now, I'll never give it up, especially knowing we're going to get a nice bump in the future.

Did exactly the same as you entropism. But i droped pistoleer.

Pikeman are simple the best proffesion. We got area attacks that gives states. We can have the benefitts like cm's but not wasting our skill points for it and we look damn cool. What more can anyone whant?

It might be broken but who cares. With my build I kick some serious butt in pvp. On the other side I have realy great guild mates that have feed me with all the stuff I need for my piking. All I can say, if i ever will drop my pike three it will be for something like "pilot in the rebell alliance" and that will never happen

That or you have a handfull of people that know how much they will be worth when the fix does come. Just like the people who were able to horde the Holo's at low prices to turn around and pawn em off at twice what they paid for em. Also, in the more supportive guilds, the ones with deep pockets also, people tend to assist their guildmates when the opportunity presents it's self. At least thats the way we handle our crafters, everyone is constantly on the look out for one thing or another. So these people might be buying them for a grind, for friends or men at arms.

/shrug

I'm only one pikeman in my guild, the red scaled **edit** step child. But I'm bringing an alt up to speed as a crafter, DE (my affinity for borked professions), possibly AS also. Then I can run around and buy all the sea's and super lances I want
