The good side is that you sometimes get a deal, cause some people don't know what they have. I bought a great LVA today for only 120k. 252max dam, +25 dodge, +11 polearm damage, +8 berserk, with a DoT that (cant remember specifics) is roughly 190 for 180s action poison, 80%. Not too shabby for wondering around looking at vendors and u cant beat the price for the dodge mod.

the damage isnt what counts all the time. The +25 dodge is very nice. Also, for all the people who respont to the "this pike is great" posts, even flamers, your just making it easier for them to post.

Yea, but the dodge can't hurt. Capped dodge is still the bane of my existance.



And here we don't really flame persay. (except that 10 questions thing, that was 4 alarm)


I would say we grill, Foreman grill, cuts the fat right out and gets to the meat of the matter.

Can't hurt, but it won't do anything and therefore doesn't add to the value of the weapon. People who have +125 counterattack or dodge never do either when fighting with the pike.

I've countered with my pike before. I'll have to play with it, that would destroy my template yet again. I think my counter is around 40 and while I counter more with the carb out, I will get off a few with my pike. Unless it was a latency issue with switching weapons.

Don't forget that block shows up as "counterattack" in your combat log. You're not counterattacking, you're blocking.

I've had this conversation with people before.


Some guy trying to shill a +20 dodge lance saying how uber I would be with it.


People just don't get it. When you have a polearm in your hand, you block.


Block. Thats it. No dodge, no counter-attack, no evade. Just block.


I don't care if you had 250 stacked dodge. When holding a polearm it doesn't mean squat.

How do you know that? The Devs made it sound like you'd only get pikeman skill mods while holding a pike, then come up with a skill mod cap instead. Do you know this for sure?
